Children will always want to find the fun in any activity they are doing, even if it is a workday at the house. If a chore gets too boring for kids, it is time for them to mix it up and no one knows this better than father Sharidon Johnson. Sharidon Johnson was in the middle of pulling the carpet out of his living room when his daughter decided he needed a break and not just any kind of break.
This daughter wanted a dance battle break against her father. How could a father say no?
Sharidon stated, “Was pulling up the carpet and listening to old school hip hop… My daughter comes up to me and says “Dad lets Dance battle!” Let’s do it!”
Mom knew this would be a memory the family would not want to forget, so she turned the camera on to film it. Sharidon and his daughter battled it out with the song “Electric Relaxation (Relax Yourself Girl)” by A Tribe Called Quest. Since his daughter sought out the battle, she was up first to show off her moves.
Boy, does this little girl have the moves. She shakes it up from the very start.
She is busting out her best moves while looking straight at her dad, to let him know he will not win this easily. Her sassy attitude in the dance battle might be the best part of her dancing. She spins and ends it with pointing at her father to let him know that its his turn to show off his moves.
It’s time for this father to set down the broom and show his daughter where she got her moves.
Sharidon is not going to let his daughter win this battle too easily and starts getting down with his own moves. You can clearly see that this is not the first dance battle that Sharidon has been a part of. His daughter watches carefully, as if she is planning the moves that will best out do her father’s.
It is not long before Sharidon points back at his daughter and round two is on!
Sharidon and his daughter go back and forth a few rounds in the dance battle, before his daughter busts out a new move. She starts to breakdance! That is when she really gets into the battle. She knows this battle is hers for the winning. She even does a spin move with a kick at her father!
This last round in the dance battle has brought smiles and laughter to both Sharidon and his wife.
After his daughter’s impressive round, he decides there is no competing and stops dancing. It looks like this battle goes to the daughter!
Sharidon posted the video to YouTube to share the dance battle with the world. While it is such a fun video, it seems as if this is just another day in the Johnson house. Sharidon’s YouTube page is filled with dancing! Johnson has multiple dance videos against his daughter and his sons. It is not only dance battles though; this family is dancing through all of life.
They are dancing when they come home, at NBA games, during BBQ’s, and especially in their living room.
The Johnson’s know that life is more fun when they are dancing.
