There are only a few moments more emotional for a father than dancing with his daughter on her wedding day. It’s a moment for her to honor him and thank him for everything he’s done for her and for him to say goodbye to his little girl. There’s a reason every father-daughter dance is full of tears as well as smiles.

But there wasn’t a dry eye during this particular father-daughter dance. The father was already clearly emotional as he danced with his daughter to “When You Need Me” by Bruce Springsteen. The bride looked absolutely radiant in a beautiful lace wedding gown. She and her father talked quietly as they danced. Then, something happened that made her father break down into sobs.

He suddenly heard the voice of his daughter at age 3 over the loudspeaker.

She was singing a song that almost every child knows. But for this father saying goodbye to his little girl, it had a lot more meaning.

“I love you, you love me,” sang the child’s voice. “We’re a happy family. With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won’t you say you love me, too?”

His head dropped onto his daughter’s shoulder and he began to weep. But when he pulled away again, he was also laughing.

“Awww priceless!!!!” YouTube user Lyn Caho commented. “Daddy’s little girl – you know they watched a few Barney episodes together back in the day!!”

The wedding guests were getting emotional as they watched.

As the father and daughter continued to dance, they started to laugh together, both wiping away tears. Then he laid his head against her hair and sighed. It seemed like he was still remembering his daughter as a toddler with a lisp. It was clearly a bittersweet moment for both of them.

Other father-daughter dances have also gone viral on the internet …. sometimes, for other reasons.

In a video of a bride named Mikayla and her father, they decided to take things in a slightly different direction. They began their dance slow and sweet like most traditional dances … only to suddenly break into MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This.”

As screams and cheers erupted from the crowd, they both pulled out sunglasses while Dad tossed away his jacket. Then they broke into an amazing synchronized dance.

That wasn’t where the fun ended.

Mikayla and her dad went on to perform a whole medley of dances to songs that included “Apache,” “Party Rock Anthem,” “Shake Your Groove Thing,” “Nagada Nagada,” “Juicy Wiggle,” “It’s Not Unusual,” “Dessert,” and “Bye Bye Bye.”

“Mikayla’s dad (‘Nate-daddy’) wanted me to post this epic video of their wedding reception daddy-daughter dance,” reads the video description on YouTube. “To all you dads out there, he says, ‘NEVER PASS UP A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!’ He also said that this dance was his chance to treat his daughter how she should be treated (as a princess). Sooo tender.”

They have some serious moves.

Clearly, a crazy, silly dance suited the two of them the best. They wanted to step into the new chapter of Mikayla’s life together with a happy dance instead of a slow, sentimental one. They clearly have a lot of fun together. And they’re both amazing dancers.

Although Mikayla is impressive, dancing and leaping in her long bridal gown, it’s the father of the bride that steals the show. He and his daughter clearly love one another and have a ton of fun together. They’re both full of smiles as they groove around the dance floor to screams and cheers from wedding guests.

At the end of the song, Mikayla’s father scoops her up for a giant hug, followed by a double high five. There’s no doubt that they’ll continue to have fun together even now that she’s married.
