Who’s the best singer in your family? Most people would easily be able to answer that question, but if you ask the LeBaron Family of Utah, they’d probably have to think on it!
Their whole family is filled with talented singers, and they love nothing more than getting together, putting on one of their favorite tunes, and having a classic, family singalong session.
Naturally, since they’re all such musical people, the LeBarons love one of the greatest musicals of all time: Les Misérables.
Based on Victor Hugo’s classic 19th century novel, the musical is known as one of the most long-running and successful in the world, and the wonderful music, originally written by Claude-Michel Schonberg, has played a major role in the success of ‘Les Mis’.
Everyone who has ever seen the musical will have their own favorite track, and ‘One Day More’ often ranks among the songs that fans love the most. It plays at the end of Act I, involving most of the main characters and featuring lots of solos where everyone gets their time to shine.
In short, it’s absolutely perfect for a family like the LeBarons. So they all got together to sing it, setting up a camera to capture their world class karaoke session, becoming viral superstars in the process!
Each member of the family is given their part, with Jayson LeBaron as the hero of the story, Jean Valjean, Jordon LeBaron in the role of Marius, Karina LeBaron as Eponine, and so on.
As the clip begins and the first member of the family begins to sing, we realize just how talented these people are! Their voices are deep, rich, and powerful, exactly like those you hear in a real Broadway show.
In fact, this seemingly simple family all have world class singing voices, and as the video goes on and each one sings his or her part, we see that music must be in their genes!
It’s possible for families to have one or two good singers, but in the LeBaron family, everyone can sing with elegance and emotion. Not a single one of them sounds out of place, and they all sound like they could easily fit among the professional cast of the musical itself.
Right the way to the end of the video, their voices never falter, and when they all start singing together, the sound is simply phenomenal.
With talent like that, it’s no surprise that the family’s clip became a viral sensation.
The video has been viewed close to 2 million times, and since it became so popular, the LeBarons have appeared on TV shows, performed on stage with Kelly Clarkson, and even organized their own concerts in conjunction with the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra!
