It’s amazing how dance can bring so much joy and positivity into our lives. Even when we’re feeling down, a little dancing can brighten our moods, and even just watching someone dance and have fun can help us feel happier.
So, at a time when we’re all in need of a little extra happiness, let’s take a look at a truly talented dancer called Sven Otten.
Also known under the nickname ‘JustSomeMotion’, Sven is an inspiring young dancer who has spent many years studying various forms and styles, combining different elements together in order to craft his very own brand of dance.
Sven shares videos of his classy dancing on YouTube and other social media networks, attracting hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of viewers from around the world.
This clip, entitled ‘The JSM Hallway Dance’, really shows off Sven’s style, spirit, and amazing range of motion, as well as reminding us that dancing isn’t just for fancy ballrooms or dance studios; it can be enjoyed anywhere at all!
The clip begins in a stairwell as Lost in the Rhythm by Jamie Berry feat. Octavia Rose begins to play and Sven bursts out of the door in a classy swing-style suit and a hat on his head.
Instantly, Sven wows us all with his groovy moves, shaking his body to the beat and getting his arms and legs involved in the action as he steps and spins in place.
Moments later, the camera angle changes and suddenly we’re peeking in from outside the building as Sven glides coolly along a hallway, continuing to dance as the music keeps on playing.
His energy and style are utterly infectious as he steps from side to side and waves his arms around, turning a simple hall into his very own dance floor.
The scene then snaps back to the stairs and Sven continues to groove with grace and style, before bursting out of the front door of the building and into the street!
It seems like just a regular day as passers-by walk along the sidewalks and Sven dives out into the middle of the road, continuing his cool moves and hopping from side to side.
A few of the locals watch on with mild interest as Sven grooves on down the road, but most of them barely even seem to react to him, as though this sort of thing happens all the time in their city!
Finally, after slipping and sliding past the camera and tossing his jacket off to the side, Sven finishes off the dance in style, skipping and hopping his way down the street.
It’s the sort of dance that just makes you feel good and inspires viewers to start moving their bodies along with the beat, and Sven really does a super job of making his own awesome choreographies and unique camera angles to keep the dance flowing dynamically along, rather than all taking place in just one space.
It’s a really fun video and has already been viewed more than 5 million times, so join in with everyone else and check it out down below.
