Did you have any big passions or interests when you were a little kid?
For some people, all we wanted to do was play outside or kick a ball around. For others, we learned how to read at a very early age and always wrote in notebooks lying around the house.
Beyond that, some people just have a natural inclination for music and singing from a very early age. Although all of us get some kind of gifts or special interests, some people just seem to be preternaturally talented.
That was definitely the case for this little girl who performed on America’s got Talent.
The clip we’re talking about today comes from the show’s 2019 season.
As it begins, a little girl walks out onto the stage with a huge smile on her face. She introduces herself to the judges as Emanne Beasha from North Port, Florida.
After that, she says that she’s only 10 years old—and that she’s so nervous to be there! After hearing that, judge Julianne Hough talks to her for a little while to calm her nerves. When all is said and done, the judges clear the way for Beasha to perform.
After that, she takes a shaky deep breath… and begins.
The song that Beasha chooses to sing is “Nessun Dorma,” an opera song from the final act of Puccini’s opera Turandot.
Over the years, it has been covered by famous opera singers including Pavarotti and Bocelli. Still, even though she’s only 10 years old, Beasha is more than ready to take the song on for herself!
Right from the very first notes, Beasha’s voice is so delicate, precise and beautiful! The judges and the audience alike have their jaws on the floor. Still, the song only gets more and more beautiful as it goes on—and it also only gets harder to sing.
By the time she hits the first big swell, the whole audience rises to their feet and applauds her in disbelief!
Still, Beasha hasn’t even hit the top of her range yet.
After that, another massive swell comes along and she hits it with ease. By this point in the song, some of the audience members even have tears in her eyes from her incredible performance.
When it’s finally over, everyone gets on their feet once again to give her a standing ovation! After that, it’s time for the judges’ comments. Above all, nobody can believe that such a tremendous voice can come out of such a small person.
As Simon Cowell says, her performance was unbelievable!
Though it goes without saying, Beasha gets all of the yeses she needs to continue!
Although it’s definitely true that her performance was amazing, what stunned everyone even more was Beasha’s self-confidence and her stage presence!
Though there are plenty of talented people in the world, there’s a certain special something that only some people have that can take it beyond what an audience expects. Though it goes without saying, Beasha definitely had that special something.
