Edward Albert Heimberger, popularly known as Eddie Albert on stage, was a well-known actor and activist who gave the entertainment business a number of excellent productions.
One of his notable works is his performance in “Green Acres,” but he also starred in a number of blockbuster hits that fans all over the world loved and appreciated.

The renowned actor also received two Oscar nods for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in “Roman Holiday” in 1953 and “The Heartbreak Kid” in 1972.
is performances showed just how talented he is. Some of the other films that featured him include “Falcon Crest” and “General Hospital.”
Eddie had a full life and passed at the age of 99.

Eddie had an intriguing personality that gravitated people toward him.
Along with his professional accomplishments, he had a family who supported him till his final moments.
Even in his 90s, Eddie did not think about stopping acting.
He performed and gave his best whenever he had an appearance.
He died at the age of 99 because of pneumonia, at his home in the Pacific Palisades area.
His son, Edward Jr. said at the time:
“He died so beautifully and so gracefully that literally this morning I don’t feel grief, I don’t feel loss.”
Edward Jr. stayed beside his father and remained caring for him even until the old actor’s death.
He did not leave his father’s side, even when he himself was suffering from an illness.
Edward Jr. was diagnosed with lung cancer.

While caring for his father, Edward Jr. was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
Any person would be devastated after knowing this unfortunate turn of events, but the man kept his responsibility and did not stop looking after his elderly Dad.
Edward Jr. was a psychology student at Oxford University and the University of California, Los Angeles.
He started acting at the age of 14 with appearances in films such as “40 Carats,” “The Ice Runner,” “Guarding Tess,” and “Butterflies Are Free.”
He even won a Golden Globe award as the most promising male newcomer.

It was a sad turn of events when the younger Edward Albert was diagnosed with lung cancer and at 55 years old, one year after his father passed, the man also succumbed to the big C.
When Eddie Albert passed, his son was already terminally ill.

It is not easy to lose your father but for Edward Jr., this was even harder because after his father died, he still had a terminal sickness to fight.
His lung cancer was in the late stages, and he knew he had to battle it out to live.
Apparently, he eventually died leaving his wife, actress Kate Woodville, and his daughter Thais. He was also survived by his sister, Maria Zucht.

In a statement honoring him, Kate Woodville commemorated his passion for the environment and his efforts to protect as many of the world’s natural treasures as possible.
In his honor, the Escondido Canyon was given a new name and was changed to the Edward Albert Escondido Trail and Waterfalls.
