1971 was an incredible year for music. Do you know why? It’s because singer songwriter Bill Withers created the song “Ain’t No Sunshine.” It’s a song that has gone down over the past decades as timeless. I still enjoy it to this very day.
Many an artist has tried to recreate Bill Withers’s magic by covering the song. Many have tried, but few have succeeded — until now.
In this video, you’ll watch exploding singer songwriter Ed Sheeran cover “Ain’t No Sunshine” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. If you don’t know, Ed Sheeran received worldwide acclaim with his hit song “Thinking Out Loud.” In addition to topping the Billboard Hot 100, his cover is absolutely incredible.
This may be the first cover that has done justice to the original song. I don’t know about you, but I think Bill Withers would definitely approve.
