Drums are one of the harder instruments to play, as they require a lot of coordination.
In today’s generation, we have Sina, a young drummer who might just rock your world with her drums.
She picked up her first drumsticks as early as 10 years old.
Sina Doering, famously known as Sina Drums on the internet, is a young and phenomenal drummer from Marburg, Germany.
She was greatly influenced by her musician parents, as her mom as a singer and a pianist and her dad as a professional songwriter and music arranger. With that influence, she was able to pick up her passion in music at an early age.
She started practicing the drums when she was just ten years old!
She already had her own YouTube channel where she uploads most of her drum cover performances.
Here is one of her recent video uploads where she became a one-woman-band.
Recently, the young drummer just released a cover of Manfred Mann on her YouTube channel.
Sina Drums has a special love of old-time classics.
The first cover she uploaded on her channel was “Metropolis Part 1: The Miracle of the Sleeper” from the ’80s American Metal band called Dream Theater.
Moreover, she has covered songs from legendary bands like Deep Purple, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
In the previous month, Sina uploaded her drum cover of “Blinded by the Light”—a song originally written by Bruce Springsteen in 1972 and reworked by Manfred Mann in 1976.
The moment the backing track plays, you can already feel that her cover is going to be amazing!
Sina kicks off her one-woman show with a roll on the hi-hats. With great finesse, she gracefully transitions the roll into a sophisticated drum riff.
In addition to that, everyone can see her POV her arms and feet working the kit.
Everything was just too satisfying to watch especially because it’s clear to see that she feels the music in her bones. It all translates into a deep passion for drumming!
Her deft hands were able to find their way to the correct drums despite her long hair swaying back and forth, blocking most of her sight.
Right away, it’s clear to see how insanely great she is on the drums as she pulls off consecutive intricate and complicated drum progressions without breaking a sweat. Near the end of the song, Sina gets back into a long hi-hat roll until she surprises everyone with a riveting final few drum hits to end the show.
The young drummer continues to hone her talent by playing some originals as well.
Sina was not satisfied by just posting drum covers on YouTube.
She decided to step it up by working on originals with the help of his father.
She successfully released her very own album in 2016 called The Chi Might Project—a project album where she invited musicians from all over the world to collaborate with her in recording music.
In 2017, she worked with outstanding singers who performed covers with her.
In the same year, she played for a German band The Gäs and was able to play in front of a large audience. Right now, despite the pandemic, Sina continues to work hard on her craft. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see her performance in person one day!
