The music from Latin America is known for being passionate.

It represents a magnificent mixture of Indigenous, Spanish-European and American culture. We decided to explore that world a bit further—so here’s a 2017 Vicente Garcia’s single “Dulcito E’ Coco” to begin with.

Two amazing artists joined forces and brought to us the best of reggae.

Vicente Garcia is a well-known artist from the Dominican Republic who has released three albums and received the Best New Artist Latin Grammy Award in 2017. Garcia incorporates traditional genres such as bachata and merengue with modern reggae and hip-hop. Kumary Sawyers is from Costa Rica, and has been musically active since 2007.

Their collaboration is flooded with creativity and superb singing skills.

The video of the two of them performing was filmed in Cataratas de la Paz, Costa Rica. Garcia plays the guitar and both of them sing. The song is originally Garcia’s, but it takes on a whole new dimension when they perform it together. “Dulcito E’ Coco” means “coconut sweet.” In a world that constantly changes, sometimes for better, and sometimes for worse, we all have a love that keeps us strong. That’s the essence of the song, and it’s true and beautiful.

It was a warm, slow performance to brighten up any day.

Sawyers and Garcia both have soothing voices that blend perfectly.

They are both excellent singers, and Garcia plays beautiful harmonies on that guitar. A simple performance is all you need to enjoy this kind of music. Nothing is happening in the background, and there’s nothing to distract viewers from their stunning voices and the irresistible rhythm.

It made us fantasize about lounging in the sun, surrounded by beautiful nature and clear blue water reflecting in the sunlight.

The singers seem to be dazed too! Their eyes are closed and they sway to the rhythm of the music, obviously enjoying every note. As this video proves, getting to know different cultures ennobles a man in every way.

There is an old saying about the importance of being rich with knowledge and experiences.

That goes for music—and we’re happy to know that there are many excellent musicians worldwide to share their culture through their music. Garcia’s been in the world of music since 2002. He began as a member of the Dominican group Calor Urbano but announced his solo career in 2010. Garcia has had a lot of success so far, and his second album A la Mar was ranked by The Los Angeles Times as one of the best 10 Latin Albums of the decade.

In 2019, the song “Ahí Ahí” was nominated for Record of the Year.

In an interview, Garcia said:

“What I enjoy the most about working with the music of my country is learning about my culture and all my identity. It has been like discovering and loving my country.”

We share the feeling! Discovering and loving this song is a nice experience of something new and authentic.

Since it was posted, 27 million YouTube viewers gave the video all the propulsion it needed.
