There is no telling how, when, or if we will meet our idols.
It could be as plain as meeting somewhere in public. For these three, it was through a prank.
It happened on an Australian breakfast radio show called the Fifi, Fev and Byron Show.
The show is based in Melbourne, Australia and is hosted by three renowned Australian stars, namely Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke.

It airs every weekday morning from 6 am to 9 am, with the host discussing daily topics, entertaining listeners with music and regular segments. There are often times when they invite famous guests into the show to surprise all their listeners.
The show has one segment that became insanely popular than the rest, and that segment was called Tradie-oke.
On that part of the show, the hosts invite a few tradies–Aussie slang for tradesmen—from Melbourne onto the show, and gives them a chance to display their singing talent.
In 2018 on one episode of the show, British singer-songwriter Calum Scott disguised himself as a tradie from Scoresby named Scott.
At that time, Fev admitted to playing the singer’s song on repeat and never getting sick of it.
Upon knowing that Fev was a die-hard Calum Scott fan, Fifi and Byron thought of surprising him with this elaborate prank.
Fifi instructed Calum Scott to use the persona as a bricklayer named Scott and participate in the Tradie-oke audition without getting noticed by Fev.
Scott was partnered with a guy called Sam to accompany him for a duet.
Before long, the Golden Boy stunned the judges with his voice.
Scott and Sam went in after a couple of tradies auditioning, and as per usual, the judges were given time to interview them.
Calum Scott was trying so hard not to slip on his accent that he would only respond with a hilarious-sounding “Yeah” that almost made Fev fall off his chair.
After the funny interview, the tune to Calum Scott’s biggest hit, “Dancing On My Own” started to play.

The moment the singer opened his mouth, the judges went on a daze hearing his angelic voice just as if they were listening to the studio version.
Of course, Fev was knocked off his feet by the stupendous performance.
Fev’s reaction was priceless after the big reveal.
Fev just had no idea of what was going on and he was just stunned by the disguised Calum Scott’s performance.
When asked if the performance was better than Calum Scott’s, Fev answered yes without hesitation. In fact, he even said that he deserves a record deal! Fifi finally revealed the secret by asking Fev, “What if that was Calum Scott standing in front of you?” It took him some time to believe it but the moment he realized it, he ducked down on embarrassment. The singer shook the pranked Fev’s hand in the end and gave him a pat on the back.
What an honor it must be to meet the real Calum Scott up close and even serenade you with one of his songs!
