I don’t know that I’ve ever enjoyed watching a dance so much as this one. <3

Even when you reach an “older” age, it doesn’t mean you have to fit into a certain mold. In fact, a lot of people don’t lose their passion for the things they love – including dance. One senior couple living in Germany stands as a great example of why age is nothing more than a number.

Nellia and Dietmar Ehrentraut are known for boogieing down on the dance floor. But if you’re expecting them to take it easy, you’ve got the wrong duo completely. You might actually feel tired watching how fast they groove to the music!

They’re a couple that’s inspired many with their energetic dance performances. But you really have to see them in action for yourself.

In 2020, Nellia and Dietmar attended the “Rock That Swing Ball” in Germany, where dancing enthusiasts from across the globe gathered. The festival is like a blast from the past with music and dance styles of the “Swing and Rock ‘n’ Roll era” (1920s-1950s).

Nellia and Dietmar step in front of the crowd dressed in vintage attire, ready to heat things up.

As soon as the music fills the room they take off. Their feet start flying, their hips start shaking, and Dietmar spins his little lady on the dance floor. With the rockin’ tune in the background, it’s almost as if you’re watching two young teens on a Saturday night!

This Boogie-Woogie couple has been together for a long time.

With how incredible their chemistry is on the dance floor, it seems that Nellia and Dietmar were simply made for each other. Turns out, they’ve been married for 50 years and their relationship began when they were teenagers. Aren’t these lovebirds sweet?

The crowd can’t stay quiet watching their fantastic moves.

Nellia and Dietmar’s talent shines through in their quick-paced dancing and fancy footwork. Really, did someone give them a sip from the fountain of youth?

One viewer commented:

“He does that just the way a boogie should be done. And she looks so happy and full of life. What an inspiration! I’ll never complain about aches and pains again.”

The Rock That Swing Ball is an annual event where participants feel like they’ve traveled through time.

While the main focus is dance and music, attendees also celebrate the Swing and Rock ‘n’ Roll eras by dressing in their favorite old-fashioned clothing (just like the Ehrentrauts). Really, it sounds like a lot of fun! On the festival’s website, they say:

“Hot sizzling nights let you spectate at stylish people with cool attitude dressed up in vintage clothing, petticoats or suits. Be part of it yourself and feel like Fred Astaire, Elvis or Marilyn Monroe. Just slick your hair, form a quiff, dress your hair in a pony tail or pin it up.”

People around the world are inspired by Nellia and Dietmar, whose performances leave crowds cheering.

It’s difficult not to be awestruck watching their skills on the dance floor. Not only do they move smoothly, but at one point – Nellia even slides through her husband’s legs like it’s no trouble at all. These guys are really good!
