Beyond the glitz and the glamor, the lights and the applause, a celebrity is and always will be a human being.

With the popularity surrounding our favorite personalities, we often tend to forget that they are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and most importantly, parents.

David Bowie was a beloved Dad.

Lexi Jones surprised David Bowie fans when she shared a rare glimpse of her father’s personal life.

And with this short clip, she was able to show the humanity of an artist that has shown the world many different faces.

Jones shared the clip on Instagram.

The video shows her standing on her father’s feet as he danced around the living room with her as the duo sang their hearts out to “Sing a Song of Sixpence.”

Jones, just a little girl back then, jumped on her father’s feet and Bowie showed the world that he knew the words to the nursery rhyme by heart.

It’s the most beautiful song he sang.

Then he watched as Lexi spun around to the song before joining her in an arm-flailing dance.

Jones captioned the clip “My forever sunshine.”

The sweet moment was recorded by Bowie’s wife Iman. Iman and the legendary musician had been married for 23 years at the time of his death.

They had one daughter together, Lexi Jones. He also had a son, Duncan Jones, from his first marriage.

Bowie was a “glam rock” sensation.

He endured one failure after another before he came up with his alter-ego Ziggy Stardust. His performance with the Spiders From Mars catapulted him to fame.

He is well known for his songs from the albums Diamond Dogs, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, the Berlin Trilogy which included Heroes, and Scary Monsters.

He is a pop sensation known for experimenting with his persona and music.

His shift from one genre to another enriched his artistic perspective which cemented his legacy for years to come, but to Iman, he was a husband and father.

Bowie claimed Lexi changed his music.

The rocker shared in an interview with Billboard that Lexi greatly affected his way of making music.

He said that since the birth of his daughter, he wrote “aggressively from a more optimistic standpoint” even through dark subjects.

He added that he didn’t want to make Lexi’s future a dark one, whether through direct influence or through subtle psychology.

It must be the reason why his energy in the clip was different.

He became a dad’s dad.

To Iman, Bowie will forever remain the love of her life.

“People say ‘your late husband,’ and I say, ‘Don’t call my husband late. He’s not my late husband. He’s my husband, and he’ll always be,’” she explained on an episode of TODAY Show Radio.
