What you’re seeing is still the real thing—it’s Daryl Hall from Hall and Oates and Cee-Lo Green performing “Crazy” live at Daryl Hall’s house. With their amazing vocals, they brought out the craziness of the song.
Despite their difference in genre, it is amazing how they worked the song out together so well.
Green got the show going with his smooth vocals, hitting each high note powerfully as if it was nothing. Hall then sings some of the verses as well, and his own vocal style sounds great there. He also pulls off some clean vocal blends and improvisations in the song as well.
Their voices complement one another really well, and they both give the classic song a fresher touch. But partway through the song, all the drumming suddenly stops.
As viewers wait for the percussion to come back, they’re sure to get goosebumps!
After Hall sings the lyrics “Who do you think you are?” the drummer decides to do a dramatic pause at Green’s part, highlighting the rawness of his vocal growl. After that, he makes an interesting transition to the following verses.
Since it was posted in 2012, the video achieved 7.6 million views and more than 2,700 likes!
In the comments section, some people stressed how Hall has “still got it” despite his age while others complimented his impressive pipes. Overall, it received lots of love and positive feedback from the YouTube community.
For those who don’t know, Hall has an online series where he collaborates with other singers.
This video is just another episode from Daryl’s webcast, and it features his collaboration with singer-songwriter, Cee-Lo Green. In the rest of the episode, they sing Cee Lo’s “Forget You” and “Crazy” along with Halls and Oates’ classic hits “One on One” and “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do).”

Hall said in an interview with Rolling Stone after being asked why he wanted to do Daryl’s House in 2007. After seeing this, we have to agree with the sentiment!
His house is located in Millerton, New York and it provides a space for his performances and studio sessions.
The show features him performing with his band while inviting guest artists to perform with him. The webcast has successfully recorded over 82 episodes from 2007 to 2016, though the show took a break after the Kenny Loggins episode.
There was news in 2018 stating that the show would relaunch with a new partnership, but sadly, there are no other signs yet of its relaunch. We can only hope that it will be up again soon!

As it turns out, Daryl’s House is just Daryl Hall’s refuge from live touring. Even now, the iconic duo is still touring around the world with their music. Touring aside, Rolling Stone just released news about Hall and Oates’ plans in 2020.
Apparently, the band is plotting for a new album this year!
They have also stressed in interviews that the album won’t just be about commemorating their 50th anniversary as a band. Hopefully, we will hear more from them as we wait for this surprise.
