One of the best contestants to walk the America’s Got Talent stage in recent years is Darci Lynne Farmer.

When she first auditioned for the show, she was just 12 years old but already teaming with unbridled talent.

Before she began her ventriloquist act, Darci admitted to being a bit shy and anxious. She found confidence in her puppets and actually was inspired by a previous AGT winner.

For her audition, Darci Lynne and her puppet Petunia sang Ella Fitzgerald’s smash hit song, “Summertime” and instantly impressed all four of the judges.

In fact, they loved Darci Lynne’s audition so much, she got the very first Golden Buzzer of season 12!

After she was done singing, judge Mel B leaped out of her seat to smash her buzzer and send gold confetti raining from the ceiling.

After Darci’s audition, she became “the one to watch” on season 12 of AGT – and with good reason.

Her audition has 50 million views on YouTube and hundreds of millions of views on Facebook. Earning a Golden Buzzer, Darci Lynne wasn’t on AGT for a few weeks, as she automatically went to the live rounds of the show.

She returned and brought along a new puppet because she is a smart entertainer and knew she needed to keep things fresh!

For her next performance, Darci Lynne introduced the judges to her mouse puppet, Oscar.

Oscar serenaded judge Mel B with “Who’s Lovin’ You,” because he wanted to express his undying love for her.

After successfully competing in the quarterfinals with Oscar, Darci Lynne won enough viewer votes to make it onto the semifinals.

Once again, she knew she needed to spice things up and she brought out yet another puppet to wow everyone.

Part of Darci Lynne’s act is her ventriloquism, but overall, she is an entertainer. She likes to make people laugh, plus she has a wonderful voice.

She combined all of this to put on a hysterical skit, with her newest puppet Edna, who was in love with judge Simon Cowell.

Edna wanted to serenade Simon during the performance, so she sang Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

Darci Lynne was on an absolute roll at this point. She could pretty much do no wrong in her performances – America loved her!

For her next performance, Darci decided to bring back the puppet from her audition, plus a friend, rather than introduce new characters so late in the game.
