Kids are always great at expressing themselves freely. This is especially true when they’re performing. Kids will never worry about who’s watching them—they’ll simply cut loose and enjoy being on the stage!
A little girl named Lily is a huge fan of performing. In May 2019, she stole the show at her pre-school graduation in Ohio with her adorable dance routine.
Lily and her friends performed the children’s song “Tooty Ta” for all of their parents and grandparents. While many of the kids were a bit shy and nervous, Lily was a natural performer.
The video begins with a close up of Lily dancing and making funny facial expressions. Then, Lily’s grandmother zoomed out to reveal the rest of the kids.
While the other kids were all enjoying themselves, Lily was the only one who really let loose. Lily moved her arms and legs to the beat of the music, having a blast.
At one point, the kids were all supposed to point towards their parents. Lily put her own spin on this move, giving them a thumbs up instead!
As the song went on, Lily’s dance moves got more and more elaborate.
Near the end of the song, Lily did a full spin. She ended her performance with some jazz hands. Everyone clapped and cheered for Lily and all of her classmates.
Lily’s grandmother, Martina Blair, shared a video of her performance. It quickly went viral, receiving over a million views.
“I put that video out there as a way for people to forget about it all for five minutes and just have a reason to smile,” Blair told WOHIO.
In the video’s comments, everyone talked about how cute Lily was.
“Free spirit loving it…living in the moment with no cares,” one user wrote.
Another commenter said that they could tell Lily was very well-loved and was allowed to express herself at home.
“You can tell she is very loved and happy at home her parents must be very fun,” the Facebook user wrote.
One Facebook user drew a picture of Lily’s instantly iconic tongue-out-and-thumbs-tucked-in move. We’re sure everyone will be doing this dance move in a few years!
Lily’s grandmother is so proud of her little girl—she loves her funny, carefree personality.
“She’s our hysterical little blessing,” Blair said.
Lily is an adorable five-year-old who isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve while she’s performing. If you want to see Lily’s viral performance, check out the video below.
