There are a lot of dance groups out there that post their videos to Youtube. They are pretty standard though, and often look the same- recycled moves to the same 5 pop songs. But every once in a while there is one that stands out, and this Australian team at competition is one of those unique performances.

The entire dance team is decked out in the roaring 20’s theme from their blonde and black bobs to their shoes. Along with their matching hair they are all wearing black or white flapper dresses that really move as they move, making the performance that much more exciting.

Then there is the feathers. The props that the dance team has is obviously what everyone came to see. To make the show more than just about dance, the group added what looks like half feathered rings to the performance that adds variety to the dance. The stark contrast of the pink vs white really demands attention and you can tell that it takes a lot of practice and precision to be as in sync as this dance group is.

As they bring the rings in and out or over their head, the girls are in perfect sync. Every move is calculated and timed- something that would have taken months to practice to perform at a competitive level like this.

The girls continue to fall in and out of different formations that showcase their feathers. From moving in perfect sync, to staggered moves to make different illusions with the feathers, they nail every aspect of the routine. Not to mention the music is so catchy, anyone watching will find themselves tapping their toe or dancing along in their seat.

One of the most impressive parts of the show was the seamless transition between songs. Just as the song switches into another 20s themed bop the dancers push the feathers straight out in front of them and suddenly its as though they’ve all turned into pink and white flowers.

The way that they hold the the feathers makes a complete circle and their slight turn they make to the beat of the song makes it looks as if they are coming alive.
