The magic of Dance is an enchanting invitation to let your body move and swing to the rhythm of the music. It’s a display of all of your built-up inhibitions being released all through synchronized motion and acts as a feel-good message to all who witness the beauty of it.
To celebrate and honor the art of Dance, a West Coast Swing event called Budafest 2019 was held. The spectacular show welcomes all forms of dance to bedazzle an audience on the floor.
It has attracted hundreds of charming men and women who have an intense fervor for their craftsmanship. They even include competition amongst groups to encourage those to bring their best talent. One duo, in particular, stuns the crowd like no other.
A male and female couple, named Jakub Jakoubek and Emeline Rochefeuille respectively, attracted massive amounts of attention once they had their time to shine under the spotlight. The two matched outfits; wearing white tops, khaki pants, and dark brown shoes.
As they began their gorgeous routine, a blind man could already tell that these two were special. The captivating duo spun, dropped, and even flashed us their graceful metaphorical feathers as they illuminated the building.
Humble Beginnings
The story of Jakub and Emeline stretch all the way back to the early years of performing in ballrooms. Jakub, born in the Czech Republic, started at the age of 16 with traditional Ballroom Dancing modes of dance that include but are not limited to line-dancing, Standard, and Latin.
During his growth, he primarily focused on social dances such as Zouk, West Coast Swing, or Salsa as well as Modern and Contemporary forms of dances.
Meanwhile, Emeline, or Em for short, grew up in Reunion Island where she also started young at the age of 12. Her journey has taken her to the country of France where she accidentally became enthralled with West Coast Swing or WCS for short.
Her trainer was named Maxence Martin, who equipped her with the foundation of her dancing instincts and also teaching styles. Currently, she is heavily impactful in the WCS community not just as an instructor, but also as a photographer and DJ.
Both became infatuated with the style of West Coast Swing and soon afterwards, by pure coincidence, ended up teaching at a styling workshop in 2016.
The students believed they were good enough where they should partner up and keep developing their talents with each other. The two have since been flying across the world sharing their love and passion for WCS. They are certainly an inspiration for all of us who dream of making it big.
And boy, were they right! The smoky pair displayed such immense talent that its hard not to be caught in a daze. Just check out that magnificent footwork!
Their spectacular show concludes with one final upright pose by both performers. They hug it out in splendid bliss while the crowd erupts with applause and cheers to show their gratitude. The two gather at the center to face the crowd and give their appropriate bows and appreciation for the brilliant reception.
The stunning duo of Jakub Jakoubek and Emeline Rochefeuille deserve all the praise they can get. The exquisite performance has garnered thousands of views and respectable criticism from all parts of the globe. Their Facebook page details all of their amazing routines through documented videos.
