Dancing comes in all kinds of styles and forms.

From slow-paced to fast, small to big movements, and from strict choreographies to free-flowing.

Depending on someone’s preference, dancing can also be done both outdoors and indoors, which makes it a flexible form of art.

You can also do it solo, duo, trio, or even with a huge group.

Simply put, dancing is an amazing form of performing arts for all sizes, colors, ages, and genders.

CDK (Cardo Dance Kingdom).

“CDK Company is an international company located in the Netherlands whose main focus is to provide high-quality training within a collective,” their website says. “A group of individual creatives who came together to share their work and passion for dance. Mainly focused on leading the next generation of dancers in the Netherlands.”

An unorthodox yet awesome way of dancing.

That’s what this group of dancers is all about when after being able to pull off an incredible choreography to ‘Somebody That I Used To Know.’

This song by Australian musician Gotye is super popular!

It’s been a hit since it came out in 2011, selling over 20 million copies. Lots of people love it, and there are some awesome cover versions too!

The music video is really special too. You’ve got Gotye, the musician, standing without any clothes in front of the camera. Then there’s Kimbra, the singer, facing him.

While they sing, they seem to get painted into the background with cool shapes using stop-motion animation.

It feels a bit like a Wes Anderson movie, which adds a lot to the song’s story and makes it even more memorable.

So, trying to make something as amazing as the original would be tough.

But there’s a dance company that’s totally up to the challenge! They’ve figured out how to capture that same magic in their own way.

With what seems to be a combination of contemporary and interpretative dance, they put the art into a different world.

The performance starts with one member looking like ‘Willy Wonka’ from the 1964 children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

And just seconds later, it transitions to playful half-body movements from dancers that are grouped into seven.

Apart from their extraordinarily creative choreography, another contributing factor to the success of this magnificent performance is the cinematography.

From the camera panning, transitions, angles, and many more, the performance is a total eye-catcher.

The entire dance is nothing short of a beautiful display of synchronized hand and body movements, mind-boggling transitions, and unique choreography.

To no surprise, the video of these CDK dancers’s performance has already amassed over 4.3 million views in just a few weeks!

Sergio Reis, one of the bright minds behind CDK’s success, uploaded it on his self-titled YouTube channel and immediately gained so much attention.

A fellow dancer couldn’t help but express amazement from the group:

“68 years old. Former professional Ballroom/ Latin dancer. I don’t watch much dancing anymore. For me, it’s either more of the same or beyond weird. This has to be the most creative, entertaining, technically difficult, diverse choreography I’ve seen in years. Absolutely Phenomenal !! Awesome job to all”

Another elderly viewer felt the same:

“I am 70 years old, and I have NEVER seen ANYTHING so riveting and entertaining in all my life! Music, dance, costumes – OH MY GOSH! AMAZING!”
