If you are a fan of dance recitals, you surely know how entertaining it is to watch. It is not a secret that it takes exigent preparations to put up a whole performance not only with the dancers but also with the costumes.
It also requires teamwork among the organizers and the dancers to make the performance on-point.
The power of kids
It is extra fun to watch dance recitals when it is being performed by children. We can’t deny that fact as kids never fail to delight us with their cuteness and charm. For sure, it is also fun to teach them a whole dance performance. To see them dance on stage will always be heart-melting. This is also the reason why there are many viral videos of dance recitals starring talented kids.
One of these videos is posted by Louise Monteith on YouTube and it has a title that says – “Ellen’s First Dance Recital”.
Who is Ellen?
Before the kids’ entire performance plays, the uploader reveals where Ellen is among the 10 girls in the video. She is the tall rightmost dancer on the front row – far right. Just to give you a heads up, Ellen is about to amaze you with her stage presence.
Grand entrance
When the girls enter the stage, they are already in character. They are indeed waddling like penguins which make them more adorable. They look so ready to dance it all out!
As they go to the middle of the stage, the song “Pondering Penguins” by Donna Rhodenizer starts to play. The little penguins position themselves and begin dancing.
These beautiful girls represent the cold-weather birds so well that they look too cute while dancing. It is noticeable that Ellen is doing a great job doing all the steps. That’s why one commenter commended her and wrote, “Wow Ellen you didn’t miss a beat!!! That was amazing, little lady, you should be very proud of yourself.”
Her fellow little dancers are having some fun time too.
Two of them lose their top hat when they did a circular step – but these girls did not let it bother their performance.
Though one of them got uncertain about what to do with the hat, their performance remained lively and fun to watch. They do more lovely steps and all of them are adorable.
Their cute performance made the crowd smile, laugh, and clap.
Wait, there’s more
The video doesn’t end with the dance recital of the adorable kids because Ellen had a funny moment during the post-recital awards.
It shows that the penguins are seated on the stage while someone is having a speech. Surprisingly, one of the girls reaches under the stage – and that was Ellen. An adult immediately goes to her to pull her back onto the stage. Thankfully, she was all safe!
Ellen’s showmanship during and after their performance is really adorable! She and her fellow dancers have been making people happy with their video even though it was uploaded in 2008. During these trying times, you deserve to see cute videos like this!
Watch it and have an extra dose of happiness today!
