The 1970s’ disco-funk band Earth, Wind, & Fire once asked the world whether they remembered the 21st night of September.
Until now, especially now, the world continues to dance with their groovy music.
If you want to dance to this music, this duo will show you how.
Jisoo Yu and David Hart are both students at The University of Carolina at Chapel Hill, the first public university in the nation.
The two are also members of UNC’s dance crew called the UNC Moonlight Dance Crew. In 2018, the two of them did a dance duet of Earth, Wind, & Fire’s famous disco classic, “September.”
The dance cover racked up five million views and the count is nowhere stopping.
The dancers show off their wide smiles as they dance to the tune, making it a thousand times better!
Just when the song began, you could already feel the good vibes just from looking at their smiles on both their faces.
Hart and Yu started with a descending shoulder sway then slowly made their way up after they reached the bottom.
The duo then raised their fists during the trumpet roll while lifting their heels along with the groovy rhythm.
Their dance moves are just so invigorating that you may just get the dance bug from watching!
Their co-dancers who were spectating wowed in awe as Hart and Yu started busting their energy-giving dance routines.
The crowd livened up more after seeing the happy dance duo frolic on the dance floor. The dancers interpreted the song exceptionally well with their bodies and you could just feel the passion that they put on every movement.
In addition to that, they have brought the contagious kind of fun that just makes you smile while watching their entire performance.
The dance ended after only the first chorus, but they were successful in transmitting everyone the dance bug, via the internet.
Recently, the duo offered to teach the dance on their online dance workshops.
The internet went wild when UNC Moonlight Dance Crew announced that they are offering people an opportunity to learn how to dance with their online dance workshops on September 26.
Yu and Hart were one of the dance instructors during that workshop where they taught their students their dance routine to this particular song. Lucky are those who were able to signup for those classes.
Hopefully, there will be more workshops to come especially for those people who missed it.
UNC Moonlight will help you achieve your dream of dancing with their supportive environment.
The group’s main goal is not to win trophies in various events, but to create an environment where interested students could grow as dancers. The UNC Moonlight Dance Crew rouses their interest in dancing by holding open classes and workshops that are both fun and engaging.

The crew was built on the saying, “We don’t care about being the best—we care about being better than the day before.”
