Being a dad isn’t always easy. You have to watch out for your children on a daily basis, have conversations that are sometimes challenging with them, and there are a lot of tough decisions you have to make throughout the process.
But being a dad definitely has its moments.
It can also be argued that dads have the most fun. Have you ever heard of the term, “dad jokes”? That’s because dads like to tell jokes a lot — whether the jokes are good or bad, it doesn’t matter — what matters is that they try their best to have fun when they can.
They also like to reminisce whenever they get the chance. And if you talk to any parent right now, mother or father, they can talk your ear off about the 80s.
Some parents will tell you that the 80s was a freak show dedicated to tacky fashion and even tackier music. Other parents will tell you the opposite and say that the 80s was the greatest time of their lives and it has been downhill ever since.
These four dads definitely seem to be part of the latter group as they dance their way through one of the best 80s bops, “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record),” by the English Liverpool pop-rockers Dead or Alive.
Dead or Alive’s catchy synth-pop was very 80s as it took over the era. Everyone loved dancing to it and clearly, we still do. Their music sounds very 80s but it still lives on today because it is just so dang catchy and feel-good!
So these dads decided to hop in front of the camera and show their love for the song to the rest of the world. There was no shame in the making of this video, rightfully so.
What makes this video even funnier than we could ever imagine though, is the fact that each dad brought their baby along for the ride.
These babies may not have been around for the synth-heavy era but they will sure appreciate it now thanks to these hilarious dads.
All four dads are dressed up in business suits (super casual, we know!) as they enter onto the screen with their tiny toddlers strapped to their chests. They all seem absolutely thrilled to be there as they twirl around and break out some of their finest 80s-inspired moves. They seem to be having the time of their lives.

It’s extra funny because these fathers probably weren’t expecting the clip to get nearly 50k views. It’s obviously very funny so it makes sense, but there is no way they could have expected that many strangers to see it!
The video is actually meant to celebrate fatherhood and it was originally meant to come out because of the release of the children’s book, Because I am Your Daddy.
It definitely makes sense that this celebrates fatherhood — we think they pretty much nailed it. What better way than to dance to great music with your babies?
