Being a parent is a blessing but being able to teach your child the fundamentals and basics of life is another thing. As a parent, you wouldn’t want to miss your child’s firsts in life, on the other side, you also get excited about teaching them something – just like music genres?

A famous kiwi Dad!

“How to Dad,” and New Zealand sensation, Jordan Watson is back with a new tongue-in-cheek instructional video. This video co-stars his adorable 2-year-old daughter, who once again steals the show. Dad sets out to teach his daughter how to sing, and hilarity ensues as she is able to hit all the notes and nail all the genres. She’s a real show stopper, with her lovable toe head curls, on-screen chemistry, and stellar personality.

Jordan Watson, created “How to Dad,” on a fluke when a few years back he made a satirical instructional video that went viral. The video was meant for a friend of the family who was about to have their first child. After posting the video to Facebook one night, he woke up the next day to find the video a huge hit across the globe, racking up thousands of views.

Jordan tells The Guardian his thoughts on how he continues to make hit videos.

“I just think if I find it funny and it’s a laugh for parents, it ticks the right boxes.”

Before the global pandemic took over the world, they released another video called “HOW TO TEACH A TODDLER TO SING” and as always, it went out hilariously cute.

Jordan begins by teaching the “fundamentals” of music, which is basically him going through the octaves one by one and his co-star giving each one her all. The little lady mimics whatever body movement dad uses to achieve the octave, and it’s delightful.

He then takes her through the different genre’s of music, beginning with Pop music where dad throws out a vocal “Mmmm Bop,” and his tiny tot gives it right back with her impeccable comedic timing.

Turns out that Jordan pretty much knows a thing or two about music genres, he’s just trying to gauge an adorable “how-to” lesson with his little one to warm our hearts.

Next up is the high fidelity vocals of R&B, raising a hand to visually display the different vocal ranges. The little lady takes her cue and lifts her arm and sways her head to elevate her voice. Look out Beyoncé.

This 2-year-old cutie can definitely nail both Country and Western music.

Dad jumps into “Achy Breaky Heart,” to teach country music twang. His daughter gives her best with some baby gibberish that sounds like she should be opening for Carrie Underwood.

Her little growl is one of the cutest that you’ll ever hear.

His two-year-old really gets into it when dad has her singing Death Metal.

One YouTuber comments,

I thought they just squeezed that stuff out naturally. She definitely got a gift with the death metal.”

Jordan admits to The Guardian, that parenting is not as easy as his videos make it out to be.

“90% of it as a parent you’re making it up, and my videos make it look like fun, very carefree. But I’m filming when my kids are in the best mood possible. I’m like every other parent, having sleepless nights or trying to grit my teeth when they’re trying to draw on the walls. But the videos, I remind myself and they’re there to remind all parents, that you’ve got to sometimes step back and have a bit of a giggle.”
