This daddy-daughter duo broke the internet with a precious duet of “Tonight You Belong to Me” by Patience and Prudence.

Adelaide Ames was just four years old back in 2013 when her father Ben posted the two of them singing the song from the ’50s, after a firework show that had the then-toddler full of joy.

When Ben starts playing “Tonight You Belong to Me” on his Ukulele, it takes little Adelaide a minute to forget about the firework show they just saw.

Just to be safe, she stops her dad playing to demand silence if any more fireworks get lit.

“How about I say: ‘be quiet,’ that means there’s a firework coming,” Adelaide says to her father.

After hilariously ensuring she won’t miss any of the fireworks, Adelaide begins singing the song in the sweetest voice.

Adelaide sings the first part of the Patience and Prudence song with such conviction for a 4-year-old, that is until she demands silence again and the father-daughter duo hysterically stares into the camera.

Who knows if the comical and awkward pause was planned, but it certainly made us laugh out loud.

After the silent pause, Adelaide starts singing again with the cutest little vocals.

Ben clearly adores his daughter!

Not only is the performance incredible, but the important connection between father and daughter is what makes the video so great.

According to the editor of Fatherhood — Philosophy for Everyone: The Dao of Daddy, the relationship between father-daughter is extremely important and shapes the woman they’ll become.

“How Dad approaches life will serve as an example for his daughter to build off of in her own life, even if she chooses a different view of the world,” Says Editor Michael Austin, he goes on to say: “What matters in the father-daughter relationship is that Dad seeks to live a life of integrity and honesty, avoiding hypocrisy and admitting his own shortcomings so that she has a realistic and positive example of how to deal with the world. He should try to model a reflective approach to life’s big questions so that she can seek to do the same.”
