We’ve all seen those sweet wedding videos of dads dancing with their daughters. For most fathers, giving their “little girl” away, even to someone they like, is tough. Although she might be 30, in their minds, she’s still their baby. But somehow, they muster up enough strength to make her proud.
Then once in a while, we see dad-daughter wedding dances with a little more spice. You know, the dances where they’ve practiced really hard to give their guests something unexpected. While those are fun, not all turn out the way they were planned. But for one father and his daughter, they just about stole the entire wedding event with some slick moves on the dance floor.
Time for dad
At the start of a video that’s now been viewed more than 23 million times…yes, 23 million times, the gorgeous bride and her handsome husband just finished one of their many dances. That’s when the DJ announces it’s time for the father to take his place on the dance floor next to his daughter. She’s all smiles while waiting.
He’s already getting the guests going
Before he even makes it to his daughter, this father has to get prepared. So, he bends forward to loosen up his back, stretches his arms upward, and then leans from side to side. He hasn’t danced a single step yet already the guests are whooping and hollering. From this alone, you can tell he’s quite a character.
Such a beautiful song
Now with his daughter securely in his arms, the music starts. What a great choice of song — “My Girl” by the Temptations. For a couple of minutes, they sway back and forth to the smooth tune. Everyone just sits back and watches. It’s easy to see how much this father loves his daughter. It’s an incredibly sweet moment.
Shaking it up
In an instant, the entire vibe changed. The music switches over to a series of up-tempo songs, including Boogie by the KC Sunshine Band, I Want You Back by Jackson S, Stanky Leg by GS Boyz, My Dougie by Lil’ Wil, Da’ Butt by E.U., Apache by the Sugarhill Gang, Love You I Do by Jennifer Hudson, and finally, Ladies by Beyoncé.
Now we’re dancing
Dancing in perfect unison, these two know how to get down. We’re sure they put in some practice time but by the looks of it, great dance genes run in the family. They’re jiving, sliding, and grooving like true professionals. The best part, they’re smiling from ear to ear.
Watch out…daddy’s about to steal the show
There’s no question this bride has some incredible dance moves. She works her body perfectly. But her dad isn’t some slouch. “Hey, pops, all the attention is supposed to be on your daughter. With footwork like that, you’re stealing her thunder.” Okay, maybe not, but he does pull off some pretty fantastic moves.

These two must have an incredible father/daughter relationship. They look at each other with complete admiration and love. She’s one lucky young lady. While she’s starting her life out with her husband, it’s nice to know that her dad will always be there for her.
