You have never seen a marching band show like this
When the Soul of the South marching band performed in late 2020, they invited dance sensations Tio Choko and Heavy Weight Musik to perform with them. It was supposed to be a fun show that would spark a great video. But it turned into an incredible performance that the Soul of the South would never forget.
Tio Choko comes out swinging
It was a bright day on the football field. The crowd was seated in the stands looking as the marching band gathers. The band is playing music with that familiar marching band sound.
That’s when Tio Choko and his cousins take to the field. It was the perfect entrance for Tio Choko who strides into the frame with all the power and presence that you would expect from a hardcore cowboy.
Tio Choko immediately turns around and gives the camera an iron stare. He wastes no time in swinging his hips as he steps to the beat played by the marching band behind him. His eyes are on his audience and all eyes are on him and his co-star Heavy Weight Musik.

But the Chokolution Dance Moves take center stage as Tio’s steps enchant everyone on that field. If you look, you can see how the musicians swing their bodies and thrust their hips to try and keep up with the band leader of the day, Tio Choko.
But Tio never looks back or gives any kind of verbal or signal direction. He knows this dance and expects his brand new back-up stars to keep up. But he doesn’t stand alone, since his cousins are right along with Tio, showing the marching band what’s up.
As the camera pans over the gathered performers, you’ll see the fun and energy that you could only find with the most engaged of performers. There’s even a point where an entire line of performers put down their instruments so they can join Tio Choko in dancing to this marching band beat.

But we can’t ignore the skill of Tio’s co-stars. Tio’s Cousins join him in the dance with similar outfits. Despite their heavy set builds, they move, slide, and grind through the music with a light-step that has to be seen to be believed. They may not have Tio’s intense stare, but they were certainly blessed with his fancy footwork.
Speaking of intense stares, who can deny the charm whenever the camera focuses in on Tio. Even when shadows cover his eyes, you can feel his intensity and passion for performance. It’s definitely one of the highlights that sells this 5 star performance.
Don’t forget to check out the crowd in the background. Even with the current pandemic raging across the country, fans have still come out to see the show. Even without seeing them in detail, you can tell that they are just as excited to see the show as we were when watching the video.
Can you imagine being able to see Tio’s stare on the big screen and get a bird’s eye view of the marching band work their magic alongside this dance sensation?

But then, as the song comes to a close. Tio takes one last step to bring it in and signal to the crowd that the show’s over. This would be when most performers smile and wave to the crowd. But Tio is a cowboy. So that means he and his cousins don’t have to bask in the crowd to know that they did great.
Tio just marches off towards the camera. His job, to entertain alongside the Soul of the South marching band, is done.
