There’s nothing like seeing an exhilarating dance performance.
The energy of the dancers riveting with every step of the beat, the booming applause from the audience, and the thrill of the choreography unraveling before your eyes make each second of the show totally worth it.
The International Rock That Swing Festival took place in Munich, Germany where a slew of bands, dancers, and performers attracted a massive crowd of people.
Over the course of 5 days, nights were filled with incredible live shows, exhilarating competitions, a multitude of workshops, and even dance masters who are passionate about teaching and inspiring others to move their bodies with the music.
One performance, in particular, stole the show!
Tanya and Sondre started their first dance competition at SwingAout Festival 2015 and it has been an inspirational success ever since.
Their love and passion for dance has allowed Sondre to even start his very own event in his hometown of Dombas, Norway called Boogie Feet’s Festival.
Because of their dedication, the couple have earned a considerable amount of noteworthy accolades, including multiple world championships.
Sondre grew up in Dombas but currently lives in Warsaw, Poland.
He began his dancing career at the young age of 5, took part of his first competition at 8 years of age, and then started teaching his dance philosophy and techniques at age 13.
His first big break was in 2007 where Sondre participated in Norway’s Got Talent show. Since then, the young man has gained much notoriety and popularity as a result of his successful performances in many of Europe’s dance competitions, primarily Boogie Woogie and Lindy-hop.
Tanya is from Kiev, Ukraine, and also now lives in Warsaw, Poland.
Incredibly, Tanya started out her dancing career at the age of 4 with classical dance.
Seeing as it was not her fit, she switched to acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and since then has acquired mastery over several dances relating to modern Jazz, contemporary Dane, Boogie Woogie, and Lindy-hop.
Notable achievements for Tanya include 4 World Cups in Boogie-Woogie, Master of Sports of International Class in Ukraine, and even made LL.M in International and European Public Law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Needless to say, these two are extremely fun to watch!
The duo took their talents to the Rock That Swing Festival 2020 competition where they had their full talent on display.
Sondre, wearing his cool blue suit and white dancing shoes, along with Tanya’s tropical floral dress created just enough of a casual aesthetic to grip the audience at first sight.
From the very first moment, we could already tell this was going to be a show to remember!
The two began their groovy swing routine with rapid taps of their feet and a brimming smile that lit up the entire dancefloor.
Immediately, they got to work as they dashed, hopped, and swung their way into our hearts.
The synchronicity of these two was simply immaculate!
You could tell they’ve had years of training and experience to be able to pull these kind of moves off.
Even if you don’t like to watch dance, you couldn’t help but be captivated by the couple’s charisma and how they exude their confidence with each tap of their feet.
The performance took to new heights when Sondre pulled his sunglasses out of nowhere!
That’s what you call you swinging in style!
Swing until you can’t swing anymore.
As the performance drew to its final moments, the two stretched their hands openly in the sky as if to embrace the crowd’s energy.
Tanya even made sure to give a little shoulder shimmy to show her excitement and joy of having executed such a marvelous dance routine.
