One of the most amazing things about music is the way in which a single song can be performed in so many wonderful ways.
We’ve seen countless examples over the years of amateur and professional artists alike covering past classics, adding their own unique twist to songs they love.
And here’s another stunning example of that, courtesy of husband and wife singing duo, The Running Mates.
Spencer and Julie Broschard first met back in 2008, when they were both students at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
It didn’t take long for the chemistry and connection between the pair to appear, and they started to date, falling in love and later getting married.
Part of what brought Spencer and Julie together was their shared love of music, with both husband and wife having beautiful singing voices and instrumental talents too.

The Running Mates set up a YouTube channel back in May of 2013, recording and sharing their covers and recreations of all kinds of classic songs from ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay to ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by The Beatles.
The pair have also recorded their own original albums and EPs, sharing all of their music on popular streaming sites like Spotify and Soundcloud.
One of their most popular videos so far shows the couple performing a beautiful cover of ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None the Richer.
Originally featured on Sixpence None the Richer’s third studio album back in 1998, Kiss Me ended up becoming the band’s best-performing and most widely-known track.
It was nominated for a Grammy, as well as featuring in the classic 1999 rom-com, She’s All That.
The song was also successfully covered many times by the likes of New Found Glory and Avril Lavigne, and here we get to enjoy another wonderful cover as The Running Mates pay homage to the song with their beautiful voices and flawless guitar play.

Spencer kicks off the song with the opening chords, before Julie joins in and starts to sing.
Her voice is simply stunning and her talent is clear to see as she strums along with her husband and brings the song to life.
And as the melody goes on, we hear Spencer also providing some back-up vocals at just the right pitch to complement his wife’s performance.
You only need to hear these two performers for a few seconds to understand why they’ve become so popular, racking up millions of YouTube views and over 100,000 subscribers too.
This video alone has already been watched more than 650,000 times, with countless viewers leaving likes and positive comments.
Many viewers said that it was the best Kiss Me cover they’d ever heard, with others commenting on the perfect harmony that seems to exist between the duo and the almost effortless way in which they make the song sound so great!
