Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance that gained popularity in Brazil during the early 1990s.

This dance evolved from the very popular and sensual Lambada dance. Zouk is constantly evolving, changing with the influence of hip-hop dance and contemporary dance styles. Larissa Secco and Rick Torri, a professional dance couple, gave it a try and excited the audience with their Zouk moves.

Their performance was creative, moving, and quite passionate.

As they stepped out, the couple was wearing casual outfits and sneakers, with the wind in their hair.

Secco and Torri decided to throw a couple of impressive Zouk moves down for the crowd, who definitely seem to enjoy the show.

Both are professional dancers from Brazil, and Torri owns a dancing studio in Florianópolis, the southern region of Brazil. Their stage is relatively small and surrounded by people who took out their cameras and try to take a photo of every magnificent move made on that scene. It’s windy and Secco’s hair flies all around as she moves and dances effortlessly. It’s funny how Secco even hits her partner’s face a few times as she flips her hair!

For those who don’t know, Zouk is a very passionate dance.

The couple dances close to each other and their upper body movements dominate the choreography. The passion in the dance bursts forth as these two slide across the floor.

The entire time, the audience is thrilled!

People are relaxed and some are sitting around the stage, standing up to take some nice photos.

This dancing duo is so dynamic and professional. It’s clear they enjoy each other’s company and the dancing quality reflects that clearly. Throughout the performance, they complement each other well and pull off some smooth dance moves that seem almost impossible to achieve. Their mutual energy is perfect and the whole place seems to be on fire—though who would expect anything less from a pair of professional Zouk dancers?

With “Con Calma” playing in the background, both dancers find a great groove and the audience loves it.

It’s admirable how brilliant and flexible they both are—we’re guessing there is some serious and intensive training behind their phenomenal dancing skills!

As it turns out, Secco and Torri began their dance journey with the Zouk in Motion project.

Dance is their profession and they have already participated in numerous dancing festivals around the world.

Still, this couple regularly returns to their Brazilian roots by hosting Zouk in Motion nights in Torri’s dancing studio, called Dance ImPar. Torri has also worked as a successful choreographer since 2007. The way they smile at each other while dancing makes you grab a dancing partner and try Zouk out!

Their dance at Kacjak Beach led them to more than 10 million views!
