One of the most memorable days in a couple’s life would have to be their wedding day.
It is a day full of love, fun, and surprises! And if you are as lucky as this couple, you might just get a chance to have a top country singer to crash your wedding and even sing a hit song just for you and your one true love.
Canaan Smith is the couple’s favorite singer and he sang their favorite song. But it was a surprise!
Samantha and Taylor from Los Angeles were surprised on their own wedding day, and their wedding crasher was none other than their favorite singer, Canaan Smith.
On their special day, the renowned singer went to the reception and gave them a heartfelt, chart-topping song entitled “Love You Like That”.
The country star’s visit was part of the annual dream wedding conducted by The Knot.
Every year, the wedding website chooses one lucky couple and gives them their dream wedding.
That year, Samantha and Taylor were the fortunate lovebirds to be given such an exquisite and elaborate celebration.
And to top it all off, their favorite artist was invited to join the event.
“I just got invited by TheKnot.com to come and basically crash a wedding,” the singer says. “The bridegroom’s favorite song that they’re gonna do their first dance to is my song, ‘Love You Like That.’
So TheKnot.com reached out to us and said, ‘Hey, we’re planning this dream wedding for Taylor and Samantha, they love your song. Instead of having the band play it, why don’t we have Canaan come and play it?’ So I said, ‘Heck yeah.'”
The surprise was quite epic and the couple was really out of it when they saw who was singing their wedding song.
When the arrival of a special guest was announced, the couple’s joyful first dance was cut short.
The bride and groom gasped in shock as Canaan Smith entered the bridal party holding an acoustic guitar.
Following his introduction, the country music star mounted the stage with the wedding band for what must undoubtedly rank as one of the most memorable performances of his career, putting an unforgettable cap on a wedding that was already magnificent. Wow!
Canaan even customized the song and did an ad-lib wherein Sam and Taylor’s names were included.
The country star went to the event with his wife. The two of them surprised everyone at the wedding as they appeared in the beautiful chateau where the wedding took place.
The couple chose the song “Love You Like That” and it was perfect for their unforgettable day.
“We kinda chose a song that’s very catered toward us as a couple, and our personalities,” the bride said. “Not one of the traditional first dance songs.”
