This is some serious line dancing.

Ever since Blanco Brown released “The Git Up,” we’ve started to see an increasing number of country and hip-hop artists crossing boundaries. This is also seen with the song “Old Town Road.” But even before these songs, Wobble came out, bringing country and hip-hop together.

At first, you’d think these two styles of music are so different that mixing them would be disastrous. But come to find, when done right, they complement one another. If you think about it, a lot of the songs for both genres have the same tempo. That makes dancing different styles easier than imagined.

Rapper V.I.C. and the Wobble

Back in 2008, this rap artist released his second single from his album called “The Beast.” After its debut in the summer of 2011, the song hit the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart, coming in at number 89. Eventually, it climbed to number 77. The following January, it ranked 94 on the US Billboard Hot 100 list.

The Skit version

What some people don’t know is that before he recorded the hip-hop version of Wobble, V.I.C. made a country track called “Wobble (Skit).” Fans can hear both genres of this song on the “Beast.” So, when a group of country dancers pulled out their best moves to the hip-hop version, it was surprising yet thrilling.

Line dancing at its finest

While we don’t know the name of the establishment where this happened but from the interior seen in the video, it looks like a large country and western bar with a massive dancefloor. Initially, there are about 10 people of various ages all decked out in jeans, western shirts, cowboy boots, and hats. But as the song plays, more jump in.

They nailed it

These dancers could care less if this is a hip-hop song. With an excellent beat and fun lyrics to dance to, they can come up with all kinds of incredible moves. When the song goes, “Back it up, drop it down,” a few of the dancers drop to the floor while keeping to the rhythm of the song.

These guys and gals are awesome

When it says, “Push it up, push it up,” they all start pumping their fists in the air. “Wobble baby, wobble baby, wobble baby, wobble baby, get in there, yeah.” They’ve got the wobble part down. Along with a lot of fancy footwork, they’re shaking their hips to whoops and hollers in the background.

This looks like a blast

Shoot, they’re having so much fun I wish I’d been there. They might be doing a line dance but the Wobble hip-hop song is perfect. It all goes to show that when it comes to music, people just can’t sit still. Regardless of the genre, if it’s got a beat, they’re going to dance. They twirl, dip, shimmy, and of course, gyrate to this fantastic song.
