Police officers always give a vibe of authority and strength. When they are around, we are all reminded that we should all act like good citizens and law abiders. They simply are too manly and it is quite hard to imagine our brave police officers shaking their hips and lip-syncing to boyband music.
However, one popular challenge among cops in the United States is shining light on the fact that our dear policemen are also capable of grooving to the beat!
One of the most popular police forces who did not back down to the so-called “Lip Sync Challenge” would have to be the cops at Charleston Police Department in West Virginia. They simply were incredible in their music video as they lip-synced to One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful”!
The officers at CPD were more than happy to say “Challenge accepted!” to this famous lip sync battle that’s been going around all the police departments across the United States. Watching them singing and dancing to the boyband’s popular hit was nothing short of epic!
The music video started with a short skit where cops acted and pretended that a police vehicle was stolen. This kicked off the storyline wherein men in uniform were prompted to look for the thief.
When the men started to sing along to the famous One Direction song, we must say they were definitely in character! They looked adorable while lip-syncing and their moves are totally fabulous. They truly did not back down on this challenge!
If there’s one thing that we could all appreciate in these men’s lip-sync performance aside from their amazing moves and entertaining expressions, that would have to be the superb videography that made the footage look like a legit music video. The camera works definitely looks professionally done!
One Direction totally blew the world away with “What Makes You Beautiful” and after watching the rendition of the officers at Charleston Police Department, we could say that they definitely gave justice to this chart-topper. The scene where the cops danced with the cow mascot inside the mall was quite sensational.
Everyone in the community absolutely supported the cops by joining in and having fun in their terrific performance.
The dance number where everyone participated resulted in an entire road full of dancers which made the CPD’s lip-sync battle response an even more difficult challenge to beat.
Apart from the CPD, other police departments in the USA are also responding to this famous lip-sync battle. Among them is the Blytheville Police Department whose sassy video showed its officers as they sang along TLC’s “No Scrubs.”
How about the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office singing Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling”? You definitely need to watch it, too!
The Fort Smith Police Department lip-syncing to Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack” and Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty” is also another epic response that we totally did not expect.
The cops from the Seattle Police Department performing “Downtown” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also made us want to dance and sing with them!
Have you heard about the Dover Police Department officer who was so good as he lip-synced to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off?” Just wow.
The Longview Police Department did not back down as well and they stunned everyone with their amazing performance to the tune of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”
Celebrating their country roots with amazing country music, the Las Cruces Police Department also had an epic lip-syncing performance to the tune of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.”
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department made everyone feel good with their rendition of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” from the animated movie Trolls.
And we hope you did not miss the wild number that Apple Valley Police Department did as the cops sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens.
Truly, our police officers are not just brave and strong. They are also talented and quite incredible performers!
