It’s nothing new, but can we get enough of it? Absolutely not. We all love a good Lip Sync Challenge!

If you haven’t seen it, one group of people started their own challenges a few years ago and it seriously took off. That group? A police department who ended up inspiring dozens of other departments to do the same! Over the months, we soon had a whole host of challenges to look through and see who the real champion was.

This video may just be the best version out of all the other police departments!

The North Branford Police Department of Connecticut created what is arguably the best video of them all. In fact, it even says so in the video description on MassLive’s YouTube channel.

“The men and women of North Branford PD put together arguably the best lip sync challenge video recently.”

After watching, it doesn’t take much convincing. They do a seriously great job.

The song in question? We all know it… it’s “I Want it That Wayby the Backstreet Boys! The officers are dressed to impress with matching outfits and sunglasses. They really don’t hold back as they start to “sing.” Before we get into how amazing it is, however, how did this all start?

Things first began with Alexander Mena, a deputy in the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in Texas.

His friends thought it would be funny to upload a video of him singing “Fuiste Mala” in his car and to date, that video has over 1.4 million views. Incredibly impressive. Their reasoning was simple:

“We wanted some positive stuff to come to the sheriff’s office. With some of the things that happen in law enforcement and with the media … we wanted something more positive and for the community and our deputies to kind of connect together. … I did not think that it was going to blow up the way that it did,” Mena said, ABC News.
