For a gymnast, getting a perfect score is always a tough challenge to overcome. It takes a lot of concentration, passion, and skill to wow the judges with superb moves that would deserve a score as high as that.
Tough as it may seem, one collegiate gymnast surpassed everyone’s expectations and got herself a perfect 10! This gymnast is none other than Kennedy Baker from the University of Florida. Her amazing skills have left everyone in awe, especially the judges!
Kennedy joined the Florida Gators women’s gymnastics and in one of their competitions, the team competed against the Alabama Crimson Tide from the University of Alabama. The game was fierce and every competitor was aiming to emerge as the winner.
It was finally Kennedy’s turn to complete her floor routine, and she was determined to impress the judges. Her floor routine was up next, and she was intent on firing up the game and giving it her best shot.
Everyone in the dome was holding their breath as the gymnast made her first step. They were all waiting for the stunts that she was going to execute and whether she can really wow the judges or not.
Apart from her renowned skills, Kennedy was also said to have experienced a stress reaction on her ankle that limited her from doing some of her training. This incident could also limit her moves in her floor routine, leaving everyone eager to know how she will fare given the unfavorable situation she’s in.
Everyone probably had some doubts if she can still perform as good as she usually does, but all of these doubts were wiped out the moment Kennedy made her first stunt. Her fabulous jump was and tumbling was as impeccable as it can get. She was simply fabulous!
Her moves were graceful and she was constantly giving a high performance level that nobody probably expected since they heard about her ankle issue. As it turns out, her fans and teammates had nothing to worry about because the talented gymnast is always on top of her game.
Before people could even move on from her initial stunt, Kennedy was quick to make a follow-up, leaving the crowd in the huge University of Florida dome cheering wildly for her.
She’s one tough gymnast and she’s definitely in the competition to win.
As she neared her final stunt, everyone in the bleachers, as well as everyone who was competing like her, were holding their breath as they waited for her closing stunt.
And Kennedy did not disappoint!
All of the 9,000 attendees in the dome that night was cheering as Kennedy landed on her feet after doing such a marvelous open pike position with a bonus jump and split in the end. She was simply spectacular on that floor and her team was tremendously proud of her.
The best part of all of this was when the judges finally raised their scores for the gymnast’s fantastic floor routine. Can you make a guess on what Kennedy’s score is? Well, she got a perfect 10 no less!
That high score only validated just how talented and amazing this gymnast is. She definitely brought the house down!
