For a lot of people, singing in the shower is as far as their vocal talent goes. But for a small group of others, they’re born to sing. Sometimes, individuals don’t discover they have talent until well into adulthood. But on rare occasions, vocal ability comes at a much earlier age.
We all love listening to someone who has an amazing voice, especially when that individual is young. You can’t help but think if they’re that good now, just imagine what the future holds if they decide to pursue singing as a professional career.
A voice you’ll never forget
One high schooler doesn’t look like a vocalist. But when he opens his mouth to sing, you’ll want to stop whatever you’re doing just to listen. While some people knew he was talented, for most, it came as a big surprise.
This has gone viral
Just imagine having a video of yourself singing go viral? For this high schooler, that’s what happened. But it didn’t just reach a few million people. No, it’s been viewed and appreciated by more than 17 million from across the globe.
Just a voice and a guitar
For some people to sound good while singing, they need all kinds of backup. That includes other vocalists and either a full band or orchestra. But not for this guy. A friend playing the guitar was all it took to showcase his amazing ability.
The room grows quiet
Although this young man is in a room with a group of friends, the minute he begins to sing, you hear someone say, “Shhh…be quiet.” Within seconds, everyone focuses on him and the beautiful voice they hear.
A little shy
Initially, this boy appears somewhat uncomfortable singing in front of everyone. For a brief moment, an awkward grin crosses his face. But then, it’s as though someone flipped a light switch. His mood becomes serious.
Rich and emotional
It’s easy to see that he feels the words of the song, “Chasing Pavement” by Adele. Simply put, he’s not just glossing over the words but instead, singing them form his heart and soul. Even in the first chords, there’s something magical about his voice.
An amazing gift
The ironic thing about this video is that we’re not sure this high school boy knows just how much talent he has. There’s something about his voice and choice of song that draws you in. You want to hear more.
Impressive range
A lot of singers stick to the lower keys or they hit unbelievably high notes. But this boy does both. At first, he sings with a low, almost sultry voice but midway through, he’s on the upper scale, which shows off his impeccable range.
People had a lot to say
After watching the video, it didn’t take long before comments from around the world started rolling in. One poster said, “Imagine how if he sing bruno mars song.” [sic] Another person commented on the harmony at the end when his friends joined in, “Can we talk about how beautiful the harmony was when people had to help him finish.”
Some day
No, this guy isn’t a pro yet. Remember, he’s still a teen so his voice is going through a lot of changes. But with the right guidance and an excellent vocal coach, the sky’s the limit. With raw talent, we hope he continues pursuing his dream.
