Christmastime is all about warming people’s hearts, and seven-year-old Claire Ryann Crosby is doing just that with her new cover of a holiday classic.
Over the past several years Claire’s become a viral sensation with the music videos she and her family create. Now, she’s back again during the holidays to wish everyone “A Merry Little Christmas.”
The Crosbys are a musical family that resides in Seattle, Washington. Ever since Claire was a baby it seemed she was destined to be a singer.
At one-and-a-half is when Claire began showing signs of being musically talented. According to their Facebook page, she began repeating a lullaby that her dad would sing at night. What made it incredible was that she knew all the words and could hit the pitches too.
Claire loved everything about Disney movies, including the music. She’d sing her favorite songs as a toddler and became “obsessed” with “Part of Your World.”
When Claire was three-years-old her dad recorded a precious video of her singing The Little Mermaid tune. After he posted it on YouTube it spread like wildfire, prompting the family to create more videos.
The Crosby’s channel has more than 2.4 million subscribers (as of 2019) and is full of adorable covers from Claire. She’s the true definition of a YouTube star!
Claire’s sweet, angelic voice is enough to leave your heart in a puddle. Then, when she sings Christmas tunes it naturally amplifies the feeling.
In the past, she’s covered traditional favorites like “Silent Night,” “The First Noel,” and “Oh Holy Night.” Our gift this year is a beautiful rendition of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
The video actually features Claire and her mom Ashley – who plays the piano while Claire sings on top of it in her pajamas. Get ready to experience chills and the warm fuzzies wrapped into one.

The tune has been around for decades and was originally sung by Judy Garland in the 1944 film Meet Me in St. Louis. Since then, it’s been performed by other musical artists and has appeared in movies such as Home Alone and Silver Linings Playbook.
While there are numerous renditions of the song, there’s something quite magical about a child singing it. Especially, a tiny songstress like Claire.
In just a few days of the video being posted, it’s already been viewed nearly 300,000 times. It’s also been thumbs-upped more than 29,000 times as well.
Fans of Claire and her family’s new video have left positive comments like,
