This song can be heard in the movie’s first part.

The movie starts as all the animals in the jungle gather around to see the young prince – Simba. Then, we see the young lion cub as Rafiki holds him up for everyone to see.

The lyrics in Zulu, which was sung by Lebo M., goes like this:

‘Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba Sithi uhm ingonyama.

‘Nants ingonyama bagithi baba Sithi uhhmm ingonyama Ingonyama Siyo Nqoba Ingonyama Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala’

Ever wonder what this means?

‘Here comes a lion, father, Oh yes it’s a lion.

‘Here comes a lion, father, Oh yes it’s a lion. A lion we’re going to conquer, a lion, a lion and a leopard come to this open place.’

Now, you know what the beautiful Zulu lyrics mean.

Jordan Rabjohn posted his cover of the iconic song together with his stunning 14-year-old student, Precious.

The cover starts as we see Precious singing the Zulu part. Her singing voice was whole and powerful, but she did it so effortlessly.

It’s seldom to see and hear two voices sound so good together. It’s so good that you might even get goosebumps listening to their cover.

We love how Jordan, as a teacher, exposes his students to opportunities like this.

It gives them experience, practice, confidence, and the chance to be known. They were not disappointed because their song cover went viral.

“I wish Elton John hears this. He is surely going to get emotional at this cover. You guys knocked this rendition out of the park. Wish you both the absolute best in your journey, and “Thank you for the music,” said one of the comments.

We are also wondering if he did. If he did, we are pretty sure that he would appreciate it.

“It’s teachers like this that actually make an impact on students,” said another comment.

We couldn’t agree more! As teachers, we don’t just teach the students – we give them opportunities and help them thrive to achieve their dreams.
