Each of us has our own talents and skills.
Some are academic by nature, while others thrive in an athletic sense. Some of us, though? Well, some of us have the purebred heart of a star— and Kelly Cardillo’s daughter Lucy is definitely one of those people.
Last year, Kelly uploaded a video of her daughter’s Christmas concert— and we are so, so glad she did.
Kelly captioned the video, writing: “This is my Daughter at her school Christmas concert. She brought the house down. See if you can guess which one she is.” Let me tell you, it doesn’ take a talent scout to spot the star in the third-grade class.
The video, which has been viewed over 19 million times, begins as the kids are onstage ready to perform.
As the opening notes of “Blitzen’s Boogie” play, the children stand with their backs facing the crowd. From the get-go, Lucy, dressed in a red dress, seems to display a bit more enthusiasm than the others— doing a dramatic jump as she starts to sing.
As Lucy performs with her classmates, she sets her star-power dial to ‘high’, popping her hips dramatically, the epitome of confidence and sass.
It’s pretty obvious she’s immune to common stage-fright as she fearlessly gives the audience a show.
Even the girl’s expression is serious and determined, showing she doesn’t mess around when it comes to the stage.
As the kids perform their choreographed routine, Lucy does it all with just a little more passion and excitement than her peers, making it hard to tear your eyes away. Kelly later told Inside Edition: “She hadn’t shown me anything she was learning in music class. But at the performance, I loved it— but I wasn’t surprised at all.”
“That’s Lucy. She’s always loved the stage. She’s shy off the stage but loves an audience.”
However, Lucy likely gets her skills naturally, with Patch.com reporting both her parents attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia while her brother also performs in theatre.
When Kelly uploaded the video online, it immediately went viral.
Her friend asked her to make the footage ‘public’ so it could be shared, and from there, it exploded. She told Patch.com:
“I don’t know if [Lucy] has any clue how many people that is [that have watched]. I’m having a hard time picturing it.”
Currently, Lucy’s hilarious performance has been viewed 19 million times.
People can’t enough of her enthusiasm, leaving comments such as:
“Love watching her version. She makes me so happy. So cute!”
“Hollywood here she comes!”
“Wow! This girl has some big personality! She stole the show for sure!”
“Too cute, a superstar in the making!”
“You have to be born with that kind of star quality!”
