Who needs the radio or Spotify when you’ve got a performer right in your backseat to serenade you?

At least, if you’re friends with the 11-year-old prodigy in this video, that is. Is it just us, or has their been an uptick in the amount of backseat musical covers on the internet lately?

The kid in the video is Feng E, and he has been playing the ukulele since he was five years old.

Most adults who play the uke cannot even play the way he does! In the clip, Feng E does a cover of Sia’s hit song “Chandelier.” Filmed in the backseat of a moving car, this kid finger plucks his ukulele along with the recognizable melody. Without a doubt, he has some top-notch skills.

Though he does the original justice, his version also adds in new features and a different arrangement that isn’t quite like the original.

This particular arrangement is not just any random tablature posted on the internet. As it turns out, he arranged the whole piece himself. Without omitting the most important features of the song, he turned it into something new that is both recognizable and entirely fresh.

For many of us, childhood probably consisted of us playing and running around the fields with mud on our faces.

Feng E, on the other hand, has been building his skills since he was five years old… and they’re already paying off.

Though he’s only 11, he has already performed on Asia’s Got Talent and blew the judges away. Shortly after stepping out, he got a Golden Buzzer from judge David Foster!
