It’s difficult imagining going to another country to perform an international celebrated song where you don’t even speak the language.

Now, imagine doing that at just 10-years-old!

Children are fascinating and can do anything that they set their minds to. Granted, that goes for us all, regardless of age. But children have something in them that, as we grow, can wane — the lack of fear.

They are persistent and brave. That’s what makes kids so great! Celine Tam from Hong Kong is just one of those amazingly fearless kids. At the tender age of 10, she’s traveled the world doing what she enjoys the most — singing.

One thing is for certain, she sure does have a bright future in the world of music. Her voice is strong and powerful at such a young age. She also has the confidence needed to get her far into the world of performing.

Helene Fischer sure thinks so. Fischer is a German singer, actress, dancer, and TV host. She has her own self-titled television show, Helen Fischer Show, where she has performed with many acts including Queen, Bryan Adams, and Michael Bolton.

But perhaps one of the more astonishing and even surprising acts is Celine Tam who performed on the show with Fischer in 2017.

Their performance generated millions of views on Tam’s YouTube page with over 6 million! Once you watch the video, you’ll see why. If you shut your eyes, it’s easy to forget that Tam is so young at times because her voice has such a mature tone.

In the video, the duo sings the award-winning song, “You Raise Me Up.” While Josh Groban catapulted the song to new heights. the original version was recorded by Irish-Norwegian duo, Secret Garden. In fact, many artists have covered the song.

But the performance by Tam and Fischer is unlike any other. Not only because of the obvious generation gap between the two of them but because in spite of this, they still manage to sound perfect together.

Tam’s mother, father, and sister, Dion, sit front row excitedly awaiting the performance. Though it’s no coincidence that the sisters are named after the superstar, Céline Dion, Tam is set on making a name for herself.

Even Fischer seems a bit starstruck as she introduces their performance.

“It’s a wonderful song that, to be honest, I get goosebumps from, and probably more because I’m allowed to sing with this enchanting young lady,” she says.

Talk about a compliment!

With Fischer in her white, star-studded gown and Tam in her black dress, the two prepare to start the song. But before doing so, Fischer blows Tam a kiss and of course, Tam blows her one back.

The camera rotates around the stage, cutting to another angle just as Fischer begins to sing. But it isn’t until Tam starts her part does the audience clap and cheer. Many are simply blown away by the young girl’s voice. One woman even cups her hands over her mouth in awe.

When the pair join together for the climax of the song, their voices blend effortlessly. It’s truly amazing. Sparks fly from the floor of the stage and the audience rises to their feet. One audience member is even brought to tears.

Towards the end, the duo hold hands and look into each other’s eyes communicating the beautiful words of the songs. Tam’s parents watch with pride. When the performance ends, Fischer is also impressed.
