That’s right, she’s Céline Dion—and her live concerts are a wonderful musical experience.

How about we go back to 2008 to remind ourselves just how wonderful?

For those who don’t know, Dion is credited with introducing francophone music to many non-francophone countries worldwide.

Her albums D’eux and S’il suffisait d’aimer are the best-selling francophone albums in history.

Not only that, but Dion is the best-selling Canadian artist and one of the best-selling artists of all time. She began as a teen star in her home country, and the international fame came after she won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, where she represented Switzerland.

In 1990, Dion’s debut English-language album came out.

The rest is history, and international number-one hits kept piling up. She built her reputation as a successful live performer with “A New Day…” on the Las Vegas Strip from 2003 to 2007. It made her the highest-grossing resident performer of all time!

If that’s not enough, let us say that she sings in French, English, Spanish, German, Latin, Italian, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.

That’s not something you see every day.

In other words, she gives the kind of live show that can send chills down your spine.

As the video begins we see Dion on a stage, accompanied by a piano.

Light effects follow her across the scene and everything is shiny, elegant and otherworldly. She’s singing her 1996 version of “All by Myself,” a song originally recorded by Eric Carmen in 1975. Even so, Dion’s version became one of her biggest hits in the United States.

The famous singer once revealed during an interview that the song’s iconic high note had not been planned.

The producer surprised her with it—but it was a very successful surprise! As this performance shows, Dion is incredibly confident on stage, and her phenomenal vocals are stunning. We knew she was a great singer, but this kind of performance always catches us unprepared!

It’s hard to believe that someone could sound so good live! Even the audience is completely astonished.

As she gets to the high note, some space breaks down in the epic applause and you can almost feel their excitement.

Dion gives extra charm to the song by the way she performs it!

It’s in the way she moves, her vitality, her intensity. Everything will capture you. The funny thing is that there’s a huge screen above her, and right when she comes to the most heated part of the song, fire appears on it. We enjoyed the awesome timing and the effort that was put in planning everything, down to the smallest detail.

What a bombastic song this is!

Most critics described the song as earth-shattering and epic… and we have to agree.

The moment she reaches that final “anymore” is probably one of the most memorable parts of any song ever. She falls to her knees, then lays on the podium. The music has taken over everyone because every single person from the crowd stood up. Her smile says it all—Dion is one of the greatest to ever do it!
