I love it how Carrie just hands the Mic over to her.

Genesis Kerena Nava was eleven-years-old when her dreams came true.

Genesis had made a sign to hold at a Carrie Underwood concert and Carrie actually saw it.

The sign asked if Genesis could go on stage with Carrie and Carrie let her up on the stage.

This was a moment of a lifetime for Genesis.

Carrie had Genesis introduce herself to the crowd and asked her which song she would like to sing.

It was an easy choice for Genesis and she quickly chose Carrie Underwood’s hit song, “Good Girl.”

Carrie tells the band to start at the chorus and kicks off the song herself.

She starts the song but once she leans the microphone to Genesis, Genesis steals the show.

“The child obviously has the pipes for a serious career; give her some stage performance training and she’s gonna blow up one day real soon. Bless Carrie U. for her kindness and class in allowing this kid to do that.”

Matt Leger shared in the comments section.

Genesis has such raw talent and Carrie realizes it from the very first note she sings.

Carrie wants her to shine, so she hands the microphone to Genesis to take over.

Carrie starts to clap and sing a long with Genesis, but lets Genesis’ talent shine.

Genesis is not afraid of the sudden spotlight and performs on the stage as if it it something she does every night.

Genesis Kerena Nava is only eleven but she has been preparing for a moment like this since she was three-years-old and started singing around the house.

Her biography on Reverb Nation states she “… started singing at church when I was 8 years old … At 9 I started taking singing lessons to further my vocal abilities, and on July 17th, 2013 I performed on America’s Got Talent … and went to the finals round in Las Vegas … On September 6th 2013, I had the opportunity of a lifetime when I was called up on stage to sing with my idol Carrie Underwood!”

There was a reason that Genesis chose “Good Girl” as the song to sing with Carrie on stage.

That is because Genesis had already performed the song on America’s Got Talent earlier that same year.

Genesis knew that practice makes perfect and if she was going to sing with, and in front of her idol, she should probably choose the song she knows best.

Besides, it’s a moment of a lifetime and Genesis knew this.

It had to be the best or nothing.

Carrie Underwood is known for having songs that require a lot of attitude and “Good Girl” is no exception.

Genesis is only eleven years old but sings with all the sass and attitude the song needs.

She might not have personally felt the feelings within the song about warning a girl not to date a bad boy that will only hurt her, but she sings as if she has.

Genesis gets the entire crowd singing, clapping and cheering her along throughout her entire performance.

Many were not aware that Genesis had just performed on America’s Got Talent and start to chant “American Idolat the end of her performance.

The crowd wants Genesis to make it big with her talent the same way Carrie did.
