A decade of being together is a special thing, but not all husbands put together surprises like this.

One man orchestrated a flashmob for his wife with multiple sclerosis to celebrate ten years of being together—and it’s absolutely beautiful.

Carl Gilbertson put together a surprise choir performance for his wife with MS, and the results were so touching.

The video was posted in 2016 on YouTube. At that time, Carl had been with his wife Laura for 10 years. Because the couple is from Liverpool, England, Carl recruited a choir from the Liverpool Media Academy to sing her a beautiful Bruno Mars song.

In order to keep it a surprise, Carl told Laura they’d just be visiting the parents at a shopping center in Liverpool, but when they arrived, a flashmob of students started bursting out in song.

As it turns out, Laura had an MS relapse shortly after their honeymoon that forced her to retire and left her wheelchair-bound.

For those who don’t know, MS is a neurological condition that affects the brain and spinal cord. It’s a very unpredictable disease that can disrupt information from transmitting from your brain to the rest of your body, potentially leaving you disabled. Even so, Laura has been fighting it every step of the way.

When Laura and Carl initially met 19 years ago at a Liverpool nightclub, her MS was so inactive that she didn’t even tell Carl at first.

She would have MS relapses, but always managed to bounce back quickly. Unfortunately, the relapse after their honeymoon left her disabled—which is exactly why Carl picked this song.

“The song was important only in the sense that I wanted her to know that no matter what may change, I love her just as she is and that to me she’s perfect,” Carl told the TODAY Show.

The students from the Liverpool Music Academy sing their hearts out, and Laura bursts into tears.

There’s not a dry eye in the audience when Laura gets emotional over the song. Needless to say, she is such an inspiration and her husband has her back every step of the way!

“I guess I wanted to make a fuss of our 10th anniversary because she’s been so brave in fighting back. She has no pain, nothing stops her, she drags me to musicals I don’t want to see and concerts where I don’t know what they’re singing,” Carl said when talking about Laura.

The couple is still together today, and still having fun adventures!

Their story is a great example of what marriage is all about—after all, they support each other through thick and thin.

Carl’s 10th-anniversary surprise flashmob went viral, and over 1.5 million people have viewed the video on YouTube.

On top of the millions of views, 19,000 have liked the video and hundreds left inspirational comments for the couple. This is such a moving story that it literally brought tears to my eyes—and I’m guessing that anybody else will react the same way.
