When Shant decided to ask his girlfriend for her hand in marriage, he organized a flash mob with the Buena Park Dance team and it was incredible.
Shant and his now wife, Lina, got engaged back in 2017, and the way he proposed made some huge waves on the internet. Still, it wasn’t just any proposal—Shant went the extra mile and put together a surprise flash mob for the special occasion.
The song he selected was Bruno Mars’s “Marry You,” which was the ideal choice for the moment. At the beginning, it was just the dance team doing a routine as usual and nobody suspected anything. Towards the end, however, Shant jumps up from his chair to join in. As it turned out, he had secretly learned a good portion of the dance routine himself!
The best part was that Lina had no clue what was going on!
It was clear Lina thought they were just watching a normal assembly, so when Shant got up she lost her mind! As soon as Shant gets up and joins the dancers, the look on Lina’s face is priceless.
As Lina starts to realize exactly what’s going on, she starts leaping in the air so high that her feet hit her butt. It’s clear that she wants to marry Shant, and she can hardly contain her happiness.
Shant does a phenomenal job keeping up with the dance team, but Lina’s reaction steals the show.
The entire time Lina keeps screaming, still jumping up and down in the air. By this point, she has it figured out—but Shant isn’t done yet. The clever boyfriend puts on quite the show, and it all comes together perfectly.
Just when you thought it couldn’t be any better, Shant has one more surprise for his future wife.
As the song starts to come to an end, the dance team unravels a massive banner that says: “Lina, Will You Marry Me?”
After the banner comes out, the crowd goes wild and Shant smoothly gets down one knee. Lina freezes in shock, and a lady sitting next to her helps guide her onto the court where her boyfriend is.
I think we all figured out she was going to say yes when we saw Lina leaping into the air with glee. She practically dives headfirst into his arms, before he carries her out of the gym. People on YouTube fell in love with the flash mob proposal, the video quickly went viral.
Almost 3.5 million people watched the thoughtful marriage proposal, with 39,000 liking the heartwarming video.
It’s no surprise that Shant went viral for his epic surprise—he really put his all into this! Needless to say, Lina said yes and the two are now happily married.
