Not all brothers and sisters get along. But Phoenix, AZ siblings Kenny and Capri Holland do. So much so that they love to sing together and make videos for the YouTube that make people smile.
Kenny is a singer-songwriter that started his love for music by learning the piano at age 8.
By age 14, he was playing for tips at his local frozen yogurt shop, according to his website. By 16 he released his first single “So What” and later his first album “Heart & Keys.”
He gained popularly by becoming an internet sensation and went to perform in front of sold-out audiences alongside Demi Lovato, Aaron Carter, Rae Sremmurd, The Summer Set, and The Rocket Summer, along with others.
Kenny decided to let his little sister, who is a passionate dancer in her own right, in on the fun and asked her to join him on some of his YouTube videos.
In 2016, they collaborated on a mashup of two classic songs Elvis’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from “The Wizard of Oz.”
“Two of my favorite songs with one of my favorite little people – my baby sister Capri!” Kenny wrote in the caption of his video.
These are two pretty famous songs in their own right. “Can’t Help Falling in Love” was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss and has been covered by countless artists. It’s one of Elvis’ most famous song and was featured in the movie “Blue Hawaii.”
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was written by Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was Garland’s signature song and was also covered by countless artists.
But this brother and sister duo managed to put their own unique spin on these classics by seamlessly mashing them together in a beautiful duet.
Kenny’s soulful voice perfectly blends in with his sister’s soft and innocent style. It’s absolutely heartwarming and the internet thinks so too. People absolutely fell in love with their rendition as more than 4 million people have watched the video on YouTube.
It’s absolutely adorable especially at the end when Capri leans her head on her brother’s shoulder.
“Sibling goals :) I wish my siblings and I were like this,” said one YouTuber
“This is my favorite video on all of YouTube. I’d explain, but it’s obvious why. This video is almost perfect- it should be longer. I think I broke the replay button,” said another.
