There are few things as incredible as a truly great street performer.
Although there are plenty of talented people out there, these two independent British performers amazed the crowd in Brighton when they performed three very popular songs in the middle of the street.
The duo are Sam and Ren Tompkins—and after seeing this performance, it’s clear they’re paving their way to stardom and generating excitement whenever they perform live.
After all, people are filling the streets because of this duo!
The duo started off their performance with “Earned It.”
This video begins with Sam’s performance of “Earned It” by The Weeknd. Tom is singing and Ren is playing the guitar. Their stage is simple and surrounded with people who are obviously having a lot of fun.
Their performance is followed by the audience singing along, clapping to the rhythm and enjoying the sound of guitar. Ren seems to be completely merged with the instrument and it’s clear his joyful vibes are spreading easily. After that, The next song Tom sings is “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World“ by James Brown.
Ren joins him in the middle of the song and it becomes obvious that both of them have an amazing vocal range.
The audience is completely dazzled by this duo!
During their performance, the audience is screaming with excitement. The best thing about the whole situation is that many people who are just passing down the street stop by to listen to these guys as well! Good music is obviously contagious in the best possible way and it spreads the good mood down the street.
Many people commented that these two are the music and their music consumes them perfectly. People can be seen giving them money while they’re performing as well. They like what they hear and respond to it in every way possible. On the side of the stage is the sign where their Instagram, YouTube and Facebook accounts are written in bold red letters.
Since their YouTube accounts already have more than 100 thousand subscribers, we’re guessing that people want to support their music!
Towards the end, Ren gives the crowd the biggest surprise when he starts beat-boxing!
During their performance, Ren starts beat-boxing, while following the rhythm of Tom’s singing. It heats the atmosphere completely and everyone around listens to them in disbelief, totally impressed.
We think that there is only one question in their minds: Is there anything these guys can’t do?! Their talent is raw, fantastic and it engages people into listening and wanting more.
They both launched two albums and are still musically active.
Ren published two albums and dedicated the album “Freckled Angels” to his friend Joe.
A lesser-known fact is that Ren fought Lyme disease for a long time and his illness almost caused him to give up on his dreams. He lost a contract with Sony in 2016, due to health problems. It seems to us that he’s finally back on track! Sam Tompkins is also a rising artist and has also released two albums. They both describe their music as honest and cutting.
This video of them performing together was uploaded on Ren’s account in 2018. It has been viewed almost four million times and has earned them hundreds of subscribers. People can also find them on Spotify. From what we’ve heard, it seems like these two have a bright future ahead of them. Ren and Tom should definitely keep on and continue following their musical careers. Judging by the comments on YouTube, people are thrilled and most agree that they were born to perform.
