Las Vegas features a long list of shows that are star-studded and dripping in lights. Sometimes though, the best entertainment takes place just out on the town.
It’s not every day that you see a grandpa get himself involved in a dance battle. But that’s exactly what happened one night after a senior challenged two strangers in the middle of a Vegas crowd. So, who was the victor? You’re going to have to be the judge of that!
Just because you get older doesn’t mean you can’t still cut a rug. The grandpa in the video below was feeling pumped up and wanting to battle (with his dance moves, of course!).
It’s Vegas, so he’s got on his festive vacation shirt and some pretty sweet shoes to top it off. There’s a big crowd around, but he’s got his eye on two younger guys that he wants to dance with. Grandpa starts indicating to them that he’s up for a challenge – which leads to the shaking of hands.
Alright, it’s time to see what kind of skills grandpa has up his sleeve.
The older gentleman is the first to take his turn in the dance-off, and he decides to pull out some popping moves. At the same time, a live rendition of Nirvana’s “Lithium” can be heard in the background. It’s the perfect 90s song to accompany the challenge!
After a short time of dancing, Gramps taps one of the guys on the chest to give him a turn.
The younger man quickly brings his street-dancing skills to the sidewalk, and frankly, he’s quite good! He dips to the ground as if his body’s made of rubber and shows off fancy footwork. The guy’s friend is standing off to the side, rocking out to the music with his air-guitar.
Grandpa’s gonna need to step it up if he wants to win this battle.
At first, he begins with some slow movements. But as if watching his opponent had lit a fire under his feet, the senior then flies into action. He cranks up his speed, spins, and performs a version of the Running Man.
Everyone cheers and goes wild for grandpa, especially when he approaches the younger guy and throws in some sexy moves too. I mean, you gotta keep your opponents on their toes, right?
But there was still another dancer who needed to participate. Gramps points to the friend of his opponent, who then steps into the battle zone.
The man breaks out his amazing street-style dance skills as well, moving his body in impressive ways. In fact, grandpa can’t even sit still watching the guy he’s so good. So, he jumps back in with some hip swivels and spins, before ending it with a grand finale move.
Grandpa finishes the battle with Michael Jackson’s epic moonwalk.
On that note, he gives his dance opponents a salute and a bow, then disappears into the giant Las Vegas crowd.
What happens in Vegas, is usually supposed to stay in Vegas. But in the case of the video below, we’re really glad it made it out! It’s fun to watch and proves that just because you’re a senior citizen, doesn’t mean you’re too old to dance.
