Girls always get so much commentary on how long they take in bathrooms, or the fact that they always go in groups. But these guys are here to smash that gender stereotype.

They’ve become famous for singing in their school bathroom!

After meeting in the small bathroom during their lunch hour just a couple times a week, they’ve perfected their acappella covers.

The group of 15 boys in St. Petersberg, Florida have just hit their first 100,000 YouTube subscribers.

They wanted to do something to celebrate and share with their viewers, so they arranged an extra special performance. But not on a stage or anything.

They stayed true to themselves and all stood wedged between the two-stall bathroom walls.

If you didn’t know any better, you wouldn’t know they were singing in a bathroom. But the acoustics in there are just too good to be ignored!

The boys wanted to make a nod to the inspirational video that got them to where they are today. Back in 2008, before YouTube was even a mainstream channel, a video called “Bathroom Serenade” went viral.

Those guys are probably approaching 30 now, but this new generation of enthusiastic vocalists have taken the idea and run with it.

The original video was a cover of “The Longest Time” by Billy Joel, so these modern boys have recreated the same video with a refreshed style.

And by that I don’t just mean a much, much higher video quality and slick-looking outfits.

At one point mid-song, a random guy comes out of the bathroom stall and walks through the crowd of singers. No one even bats an eye.

Not the choir, not the guy who just had a nice musical accompaniment to his time in the bathroom.

But we guess this makes sense.

If the boys consistently meet here for lunch multiple times a week… most of the male student body is probably used to it by now!

But the random guy isn’t so random. It’s actually another nod to the original video.

In the 2008 version, someone who clearly isn’t a part of the singing squad comes out of a bathroom stall and looks extremely bewildered. The whole troop follow him out into the school’s hallway, still singing.

Thankfully, the 2020 guys have made one very small yet very important change!

The guy in the original video leaves the bathroom without washing his hands.

But this guy is definitely on his way to wash his hands… and we thank him for it.

This recording was done in February of this year, just before the US was hit hard by the pandemic.

It’s good to know that the kids were taking it seriously before all the schools shut down. Hopefully they all do the same when they re-open again!

The video has already hit more than 1.3 million views, and people are flooding the comment section with hilarious notes… like this one.

As a woman, I can say I am happy to have been given insight into what goes on in a man’s bathroom. Who would have guessed?!
