There’s only one way the Kofies can describe their child – a miracle.
Isaiah Kofie was watching the news when he heard something he didn’t expect.
A piano was blasting from the basement of their home.
Thankfully, their house isn’t haunted.
Isaiah then investigated who the mysterious piano player was.
Little did he know, he was about to witness a miracle.
Jude Nyame Yie Kofie was only 11.
But when his father saw him play the piano in the basement, he could’ve sworn his child had been taking piano lessons for years.
The playing was precise and nimble.
There were no music pieces around the house but somehow, Jude knew what to play and how to play it.
He then grabbed his phone and recorded Jude who, as it turns out, was a virtuoso.
Isaiah, a drummer from his native Ghana, was more than proud.
But he also revealed what Jude had to go through at a very young age.
He shared that Jude wasn’t really the healthiest when he was born. He even underwent heart surgery and needed to be fed through a tube.
It was heartbreaking for any parent to see their kids strapped into machines that went off all the time of the day.
Jude endured, however.
He soon grew up to be a cheery lad with a big heart and a great ear for music.
He can play whatever he hears including news station jingles. When asked if he ever had training in the piano?
Not even one moment.
And where talent grows, someone should nurture it.
Not everyone, however, is privileged enough to cultivate the gift that was given to them because of circumstances.

After Jude’s story was aired on their local news station, a generous benefactor knew what kind of future is ahead of the virtuoso if he gets the necessary training and equipment.
Colorado piano tuner Bill Magnusson described Jude as “Mozart level,” and for young minds as talented as Jude, Magnusson was keen to give him the very best.
Isaiah was over the moon in gratitude when Jude’s small piano was replaced with a grand one.
Magnusson shared with the local news station that the money he used to buy the piano set came from his inheritance.

Isaiah was so grateful because he knew there was no way he could afford a set of keys as perfect as the one they received from the tuner.
Magnusson believes in what Jude can achieve.
“It’s like looking at the face of God,” Magnusson said when asked why he gifted the young pianists the tools he needed. “It really is.”
Besides the piano, Magnusson also arranged for Jude to have piano lessons under Mr. Sullivan.
“The ripple effects for the next 70 or 80 years are incalculable,” Magnusson told PEOPLE.
“It’s not just for him. It’s for all the people he’s going to touch.”
He is currently the lead keyboardist at their church.
He also got to play in a wedding and has become viral on YouTube and TikTok.
