Prom is such a special event for high school juniors and seniors.
Guys go out of their way to think of creative and unique ways to ask a girl to accompany them to the big dance, all while hoping they’ll say yes. This young man pulled out all the stops to ask his potential date to prom and went viral for it.
He really put so much thought into this!
This high schooler got a dance team, cheerleaders and the marching band all to help him with this epic “promposal.”
Ronald Elliott knew exactly who he was going to ask to prom, but he had to figure out what he was going to do to impress his possible date, Alexis Shillow. So he decided to enlist the help of his peers, and it turned out unbelievably awesome.

Back in 2016, Ronald put together the powerful “promposal” without any clue whether Alexis would say yes or no.
He was texting her friends to stall her down to the very last minute, but they were out of tricks and the time was now.
The first thing Alexis encountered when entering the school grounds was the dance team, and they had a special dance just for her.
You can see the confusion on her face as she walks up, and Alexis has no idea what’s going on or why the whole dance team is outside.
“Why’s everyone right here?” Alexis asks as she walks up.
That’s when they break out into a special dance made just for Alexis. After watching them bust it out, the dance team directs her to walk inside where other surprises await her.
As soon as she walks into the school, the cheer team is there cheering her name.
Dressed in full uniform, the cheer squad is lined up cheering “let’s go Alexis” over and over again. Now the bashful teenager is starting to realize that all of this is for her—but it’s not over yet!
Once the cheerleaders get done cheering Alexis’s name, you start to hear the faint sound of a drum coming from down the hallway.
That’s when the marching band appears walking down the hall and playing a beat for Alexis!
At the exact same time as the drumline comes into the picture, some of Ronald’s helpers roll out a homemade sign he made with the big question written in paint.
“Every king needs a queen, prom? #Royalty.” Reads the “promposal” sign.
Ronald appears from behind the drummers with a yellow bouquet of flowers for Alexis!
Now for the big moment—what will she say?! This would be a horrible waste if she said no, but luckily for Ronald, she says yes! With that, he had his date and one of the coolest “proposals” ever.
It’s no surprise that the internet went crazy for the thoughtful and well planned out “promposal.”
Millions of people watched him put himself out there and succeed.

Teamwork really does make the dream work. Without the help of all his peers, Ronald may not have been so lucky.
