Someone thought of a truly excellent idea which has brought to light many musical talents.
No, it’s not a talent show—it’s a public piano. Though these can be found all over the place, they are a simple and effective way of giving people an opportunity to show off their inner superstar.
Though adults often play these public pianos, we’re always immensely surprised after a child steals the show.
Still, that’s exactly what happens in this video. A kid sits at the piano, tickles the ivories and everyone is blown away. Very satisfying to watch!
The video begins on a sunny day in Lviv, the largest city in western Ukraine.
There are people gathered near the City Hall and there’s a public piano out in the square. Before long, one kid will soon put it in very good use. We can see three boys playing and a man who approaches them to say something. As the video description explains, the man is a worker at the local pizzeria. He takes off his hat, puts it in front of the piano and asks the crowd to support the young artist, a Ukrainian piano prodigy.
The kid sits at the piano and is obviously dazzled by the instrument itself.
Before long, he gets lost in the music. It doesn’t even seem that he notices his audience, but a large number of people gather around him anyway. Everyone is filming and cheering the boy on. We don’t know if it’s a good thing that a man from the pizzeria pushed him into the show or not, but one thing is sure—the boy loves to play the piano!
There isn’t much information about Vasil Voitovich, the talented kid from the video.
The video was uploaded in 2013, and there hasn’t been much information about him out there since then.
Judging by the way he plays Queen’s “The Show Must Go On,” we’re guessing he probably opted for an education related to music. There is only one more video of Vasil performing at the school’s recital.
We know for certain that the kid might have a fanbase he knows nothing about, and we would love if he started performing again. The internet obviously hasn’t forgotten about him.
His performance is full of surprises!
People around Vasil are completely dazzled by his skills. What kept us puzzled is the fact that his performance is very mature and he is so absorbed by the music. We didn’t expect such a powerful voice to come out of such a little child! We laughed when his two friends realized that all the girls in the crowd were looking at him as well.
The young pianist had the whole crowd intrigued, and the entire atmosphere was very cute, innocent and playful.
Many people think that no one can enjoy music the way a child does, and this little boy proved there’s a lot of truth to that.
Since it was posted, the video has earned more than six million YouTube views!
If the fact that the number of views crossed six million is not impressive enough, just check all those positive comments as well!
People are obviously in love with this kid, and we can definitely relate. It’s a shame that there is no way to reach him today—he’s not on any social media and doesn’t have a YouTube channel. Above all, we would love to know if he’s doing fine…and we hope he’s still engaged in music somehow because of his evident talent and love for the piano!
